“I began my soccer journey at the age of 10, thanks to the guidance of a coach named Cherif Zein from Pasadena. While I wasn’t initially allowed to play, I was drawn to the game by watching my brother’s practices and games. My family’s strict rule, 'If I have to pay for you to play, you’re not playing,' became the spark that fueled my determination. It pushed me to work tirelessly, practicing for hours. From that moment forward, nothing could hold me back.” ~ Coach Mariela Gaitan
