Meet our Founders, Frank Fertitta IV and Landon Gyulay.

Inspired by a lifelong respect for veterans, Frank Fertitta IV founded Easy Day Foundation to give back to those who have sacrificed so much. Growing up around veterans, he heard firsthand accounts of service and saw the lasting challenges they face. With Easy Day Foundation, he’s dedicated to creating impactful support for veterans and their families.

Landon Gyulay, moved by his grandfather’s experiences as a WWII bomber co-pilot, joined Frank in this mission. A visit to the Normandy American Cemetery with his grandfather revealed the deep toll of war and inspired Landon to take action. His work with Easy Day Foundation is driven by this personal connection and commitment to honoring veterans.

Veterans face battles long after their service ends. Easy Day Co-Founder Frank Fertitta IV has witnessed the hidden scars our Veterans carry long after their service has ended, and created Easy Day Foundation to ensure Veterans have the resources and community they need to thrive.

Together, we can make a difference 💙

A 41-year-old Navy veteran and former hospital corpsman, Neil served on multiple deployments across the Middle East, including Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where he supported others through medical care, physical therapy, and mentorship.

Today, he’s continuing his mission in a new way, pursuing his master’s degree in social work at UNLV, with plans to graduate this spring.

As he transitioned to civilian life, Neil found support through resources like the VA and the PAVE peer mentorship program, helping him navigate the college experience, build community, and connect with others who share a similar path.

Stories like Neil’s are a reminder that supporting veterans doesn’t stop after service, it continues through every chapter that follows 🇺🇸

What was it like to be a woman in the United States Navy?

As one of the first women on a Navy destroyer, she learned quickly that leadership isn’t demanded, it’s earned.

Her experience is a testament to what it means to lead with integrity, break barriers, and create unity, no matter the circumstances.

For Dr. Laura McIntyre, her retirement ceremony became a memory she’ll never forget. Surrounded by her family, her peers, and the people who had been part of her journey, it was a rare moment to pause and take it all in.

From a surprise parachute team entrance to hearing her daughter speak about her service, it was powerful, emotional, and deeply personal.

Finding your path after service isn’t always linear, and that’s okay 🇺🇸

After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Andrea faced a difficult transition before discovering a new sense of purpose through education. Now pursuing business with plans for her MBA, she’s focused on building a future rooted in leadership and impact.

Along the way, she’s helping others do the same through PAVE at UNLV — supporting fellow veterans and military-connected students as they adjust to life beyond the military.

For 118 years, the U.S. Army Reserve has stood ready to serve, supporting missions at home and abroad with strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication.

Today, we honor the legacy of the brave men and women whose commitment continues to make a lasting impact in communities around the world. 🇺🇸
