«Smoke» by Kris Lüdi

Kris Lüdi’s Smoke draws on personal memory: as a child spending summers in Appenzell, he observed local children from the position of an outsider, struck by their quiet confidence and grounded presence. The work emerges as a delayed response to that early impression.

Balancing between tradition and modernity, Smoke reflects on the tension between progressive and conservative forces embedded in local customs. Rather than documenting, Lüdi creates a photographic space of observation—where portraits of smoking children resonate beyond their immediate context, opening a broader reflection on culture, identity, and belonging.

LEE SCRATCH PERRY forever. His contribution to sound and Jamaican music/culture everywhere lives on for eternity. This book, what a gem. What a treat to get a glimpse into his mind and home/studio through another sense 👀. I can’t thank @boomstyler for this gift, and @editionpatrickfrey for dedicating so much energy to preserving the magic that is LEE . I just opened this book to a few pages and took pics to share here, no rhyme nor reason. Stay weird and perfect humans, for our sake. Repent.

last week printing started for «PSYCHOBUCH 2» @bischofbeni

Following the first successful publication of Psychobuch in 2014, Psychobuch 2 now offers a further in-depth insight into the paradoxical universe of Beni Bischof. The book presents a multilayered, multimedia entity held together by a dense network of recurring themes and motifs. It is a comprehensive presentation of Bischof’s work without claiming to be complete, while at the same time functioning as an independent artist’s book.

more updates coming soon!

«BLACK ARK» by Lee Scratch Perry

The point of departure for the book «Black Ark» with Lee Scratch Perry (1936–2021) is a detailed inventory of photographs and writings from the Black Ark Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, where Perry produced his music from 1973 on.

Black Ark Studios was one of the cradles of dub. It’s also where Lee Scratch Perry’s musical approach found an enduring visual counterpart in the form of continuously evolving mural paintings and drawings as well as shape-shifting assemblages of records, instruments, found objects, posters, newspaper and magazine clippings, and appropriated books.

«Black Ark» which reflects the rhythm and layering effects of collage both in its content and the materials used to craft the book. Perry was involved in the conception of the book in its early stages. It also interweaves various media and chronologies. The new photographs of the Black Ark Studios are juxtaposed with stills from old documentaries and archival photos.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The first edition of this book is sold out. The second edition is in progress and will be available from the beginning of April, 2026. The book can be pre-ordered via www.editionpatrickfrey.com

TUES 24 MARCH: LEE SCRATCH PERRY BLACK ARK – BOOK LAUNCH

PROGRAMME:

Panel Discussion -
Martine Rose, Marc Asekhame, David Katz and Chris Peckings
Moderated by Canan Batur

Curated Listening Session -
David Katz

Sonic Response -
Highsteppers
Canan Batur

OTO hosts the launch of Black Ark, presented with Edition Patrick Frey, centred on Lee Scratch Perry’s Black Ark Studios in Kingston, Jamaica. The evening features a panel conversation, a visual presentation, a curated listening session with commentary led by Perry biographer David Katz, plus sonic responses to Black Ark from invited contributors.

The 600-page book takes as its point of departure a visual inventory made in spring 2021 at the Black Ark in Kingston, Jamaica—where Perry produced his music from 1973 onwards. It documents the studio as both recording site and continuously evolving visual environment: mural paintings and drawings, found objects, and collages including posters, newspaper and magazine clippings, and appropriated books—layers upon layers, rhizomatically entangled with the building, its furniture, and Perry’s life and persona. The premises have since been sold, and the book stands as a record of a world on the verge of disappearing.

Published by Edition Patrick Frey, Black Ark was conceived with Lee Scratch Perry (1936–2021) in its early stages. The book was designed by Maximage (David Keshavjee). Photographic documentation is by Marc Asekhame.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
