Swedish Jazz drummer and percussionist Bengt Berger passed away on May 15th
(2026) just a few days ago.
He was a Don Cherry collaborator featuring on some timeless classic albums andwas a legend in his own right, a jazz drummer and percussionist taking strong influence from Ghana and India and beyond.
This piece seems strangely appropriate for the occasion. Thanks for the music and the inspiration!
This is one of my favourite records as are the other live albums and the Don Cherry compositions.
