Danza Catartica is having its first launch party at D2, downstairs at Drummonds.
The party will host three Scottish acts bringing the tunes.

Cornetta

The head behind the Danza Catartica project, is mainly known in the Grey City for her Vinyl All night long nights. Cornetta will bring a variety of wax gems from her crates, sticking as per her usual to full vinyl mixes. Whether it's 120 or 170bpm, expect a heavy bass sounds and all things in between acid, minimal. techno, breaks, ranging from old school classics to more contemporary experimental sounds.

Eosap

Taking cues from many moons spent in the studio tinkering with off-kilter sounds and low-slung grooves, Eosap brings stripped-back minimal, house and techno sounds to the party.
Intriguing synthesis, intricate structures and pumping low ends are melded together as Eosap picks tunes that resonate with him and tell tales from within his musical world as he delves into the deeper shades of dance music.

Now based in Aberdeen, Eosap continues tweaking his way through as a producer. Settling down into his own, he looks to share more with the world following his “Irreverent Tract EP” on his Wicked Discourse label project which heard 4 originals filter through housey flavours, after-hours sounds and healthy sub content.

Eosap makes regular appearances as a resident DJ for Motus, as well as other top parties in Scotland.

Is Kill

A seasoned party starter and promoter, connecting the musical dots with his eclectic selections to escape reality.

With a love for the raw sound of techno and the stripped-back weirdness of minimal, he knows just when to drop a spine-tingling track to keep you on your toes. He has complete trust in his records and skills, feeding off the crowd and steering them where he wants, fully embodying the “Off the Cuff” ethos.

This great triad of local acts can't wait to bring to the party their newest music finds and spin them on D2's heated dancefloor.

Eosap - Irreverent Tract EP [WDD004] out today!

@eosap___ crafts sounds and elements in attempts to represent abstractions and other such murmurings found within as he tries to make sense of the world around him. Tweaky after-hours sounds tinged with both some sadness and some sweetness throughout.
Hungarian musical maestro Giash reimagines “Jurassic Funk” as he rejigs motifs from the original and imbues them with his usual miscellany of controlled chaos and colourful thoughts.

Residing in Edinburgh, Eosap has spent years of tweaking his way through sound, in both the worlds of DJing and production. Settling down into his own, narrowing it down to where mind-blowing, after-hours sounds meet the beauty of world music and healthy sub content. Finding a home for weird and wondrous elements within the structures of the innately rhythmic sounds of minimal techno.

Beyond tinkering with sounds, Eosap makes regular appearances for minimal parties in Scotland, including his own day-party Dots and runs Wicked Discourse label project, alongside Mr. @motus_uk AKA @sonho__ . The label will see a string of digital releases - including originals from Eosap, as well as vinyl later in the year.

Still processing Saturday with @dbtevents and @my_king_is_light - what a night, and in Edinburgh… class!!

Been asked to play at the pavilion this Friday by the good folks over at @dumbfolksnight as part of their free festival at pavilion. Safe to say I’m very excited to spin some tunes, got a few newbies to road test!! I’m on after a host of talented singers and songwriters so I’m gonna be keeping things sufficiently weird and wondrous! I’m on at 5pm for any interested in coming along.

Big ups to @dumbfolksnight for having me on and if you are based in Edinburgh they are putting on some seriously tasty music nights across the city, get on it!

Dots join forces with @reducdservc for an Easter Sunday facer.

With the whole of the Oracle being offered up, Reduced Service take to the upstairs, bringing a host of local talent, bringing beats that pack impeccable bar vibes and some serious Sunday day-party sounds. Dots will be contained to their spiritual home in West Port’s unique plane-cabin basement space. Expected visual projections, oddball minimal sounds and highly stripped-back grooves all coming in check for a marathon 11-hour affair across both rooms.

Growing up with new wave, punk, ska and hip hop playing around the house, @eosap___ tastes were already made up as a youngster. Through the years he developed a penchant for the weird, the wonderful and anything that delivered that cool vibe.
Drawn to electronic music for its abstract nature and heavy sub-content, he soon found minimal and there the infatuation began.

Something about the context it provides - the rhythmic backbone, over which to tell the story, really caught his ear. Couple that with experimental sound design and synthesis you really have something good going there!

Eosap has been tweaking his way through the genre finding his feet as a DJ and producer delivering slick and stripped-back sets and tracks that really get down to the barebones of the music. This is exactly what Joe will be providing down in @westportoracle basement on NYD. #nyd #dayparty #oneweekendaweek
