Meet the second artist behind one of the new murals coming to 13th & Fir, Adden!

Adden Joule is a full-time muralist and street artist based in Denver, Colorado. Since 2016 he has worked professionally across public walls internationally, creating large scale murals throughout Europe, Indonesia, Central and South America, and across the United States. He is the founder of Project Street Gold, an internationally recognized brand producing limited edition cast metal works in collaboration with world renowned muralists and graffiti writers.

Here’s a statement from the artist:
“I am deeply drawn to the 13th and Fir project because of its roots in graffiti and aerosol culture, its commitment to affordable housing, and its dedication to reflecting the authentic voices of a richly layered community. The legacy of 206 Zulu’s Off the Wall event at this very site speaks directly to the tradition I have built my practice within, and the opportunity to continue that legacy on the exterior of a building designed to keep low income families rooted in Seattle feels both meaningful and timely.

What excites me most is the intersection of community, culture, and place this project represents. The Central District, Yesler Terrace, and the Chinatown International District each carry distinct and profound histories, and the opportunity to create work that honors that diversity while remaining visually bold and forward thinking is exactly the kind of challenge I seek. My practice is built on listening deeply to communities, translating their values into large scale imagery that feels specific, celebratory, and enduring. This project offers the opportunity to do exactly that, creating work that serves the residents of 13th and Fir and the surrounding neighborhood for generations to come.”

AJ’s mural will be installed directly across from King County Archives and the location of 206 Zulu’s Off the Wall graffiti art competition. We are so excited to share the finished mural with you this summer!

We’ve all cast a dandelion wish. A quiet offering to the universe, a gesture of hope whispered into the ether. This act of faith and conceptualization taps into the mysterious magnetism that shapes the architecture of our ideologies, culture, and individual lives.

This installation was proposed to the Denver art committee virtually amidst the dust and dreamscape of Burning Man. It was no coincidence that the ethos of transmuting prayer through fire would be at the heart of this installation.

The burning of over 150+ letters became the soul that interconnected the varying concepts within this piece.

An array of transparent yellow acrylic frames the sculptural scene. It’s akin to a halo and representative of the sun. The transparent panels wash ever changing shapes of color on the wall as sunlight shifts through the day.

The center of the dandelion glows underneath a custom 3d printed light cap. It mimics macro imaging of what the center of a dandelion’s capitulum actually looks like. It became a key element to unifying the dandelion capitulum, while complimenting the individually illuminated seed on the opposite wall. Both walls have a single glowing element at their center, the life force of the capitulum and the life potential of the achene.

Do you like it better illuminated at night, or the vibrancy of color and shadow during the day? Show some love and share your favorite image of this wall 🖤✨☀️

A marble hand reaches skyward, its gesture reflecting a mudra of receptivity and reassurance. It evokes the benevolence of the divine, the open palm of a guardian spirit, patiently awaiting the gift of life. A single dandelion seed descends into the palm, luminous with potential.

The hand is framed by an array of transparent blue acrylic, tapering in size from each tip and akin to a waning crescent blue moon.

Dandelion seeds traverse the architecture, their forms engineered from powder coated steel and SLA printed seed pods, known as achenes. Each achene holds the ashes of over 150 letters, written by families in transition from living on the streets. These letters and their combined prayers, dreams, and wishes were ceremonially burned, transformed, and entrusted to these vessels. The seeds carry memory, grief, and longing embodying the collective wishes of a community and city in flux.

The seed poised to land in the marble hand is the only one that contains no ash. Instead, it is filled with thousands of real dandelion seeds. It alone is backlit, the glow carefully focused through a custom fabricated light cover to illuminate the clear resin pod from within. It’s fertility frozen in time.

This work was designed, fabricated, and installed with and alongside my dear friend and brother Jeremy who is the owner of the custom fabrication shop @modulusmakers. It was an honor to craft each one of these unique elements alongside him and this isn’t the last sculpture installation you’ll be seeing from us.

I’m rolling out the elements of this installation in series to highlight the story, process, media, and product of the installation. It embodies so many different aspects I want to do it all justice. If you’re vibing with the work, show some love. Share it with your community, throw a comment in the mix, and def go follow @modulusmakers and hit him up if you’re looking to bring your ideas to life. 🖤

I wanted to start sharing some of the project @modulusmakers and I built for @voacolorado with the support of the @denverpublicart program 🖤

@modulusmakers and I designed, built, and installed every aspect of this project ourselves. Nearly 100 sculptural elements, installed on two murals I painted, brought to life at night by 20 dmx lights. I’ve met few people in my life who have the capacity and understanding to work on their toes in the realms of custom fabrication and Jeremy met me fully in dissecting and solving the complexities of building and installing this work. We worked everyday for 2 months straight to bring this work to life, and despite the long hours I couldn’t be more proud of how this all came out and the work we were able to make alongside each other in such a short time frame.

This project is a culmination of the last decade of my career as a full time and professional artist, and it feels good to see the potential of building sculpture in the public sphere when the budget is there to make it happen. This one is extra special, and I’ll be sharing more details and insight into the process, product, and concept of how this all came together ✨

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
