Last month, I had the joy of working together with @kittjohnsonxact within the @circusnext Finalist Laboratory in Ríga @rigas_cirks , Latvia.
Each of the five projects present had one day dedicated only for their own development, being able to use the collective intelligence to dive deeper into their artistic work. For Tyr Auf! I had wonderful support and feedback by @martinamonnicchi @sofiadelazambra @lindacravatta @svaigimage @petra_najman & @danielkvasnovsky

@krystallpalast I have the possibility to, not only play 7 - 8 Shows with #cyrrealism per week, but also to continue with research and creation for my new performance ‘Tyr Auf!‘ while trying little sneak peaks of new material, with my wonderful cast mates, already in front of the audience!

Tyr Auf! A solo-Cyr wheel performance, 60 minutes, to be premiered beginning of 2028.

Words cannot express, what a different kind of joy it gifted me to have been musically directing this beautiful and all around poetic show! This was a real team effort and I never knew how nervous and exciting it could be to be on the other side on premiere day. This cast has conquered my heart and I am so incredibly proud of them for what they have accomplished individually and even more so as a group, being one body of playful artistry and highly skilled craft(wo)manship. This show is special and I can’t wait to see it again as it will now grow into something even more precious throughout the next four months. Enjoy, my friends! You have shown me once again that we can be bigger than ourselves in art 😪 ❤️ 🦄.

Met een Allen key in het haar zet Fenja haar Cyrwheel – en onze verwachtingen – op losse schroeven.

"Go with the flow. Ik heb geleerd om niet alles te willen fixen, maar te kijken wat een nieuwe situatie kan brengen."

We gingen met Fenja in gesprek over Cyrrealism, waarin ze de perfecte ronding van het wiel bevraagt en ruimte maakt voor wat schuurt, hapert en misgaat.
