Watching your child find their place at school changes everything.

In Mongolia, *Delbee’s mum has seen her daughter - who has a chronic neurological condition - grow in confidence, and independence through tailored support at school.

Together with Mongolia’s Ministry of Education and the @gpforeducation, savethechildren.mongolia is helping schools create inclusive learning environments where more children with disabilities can participate, learn and belong.

The project received US$5 million in funding from the GPE Multiplier grant, which was unlocked by @jica_pr and @savethechildren_japan, and has reached almost 152,000 children.

Yet, violence in and around schools still affects half of the world's children, with devastating consequences: it affects children'sability to learn, their journeys to school, and their chances of staying in school.

At the Education World Forum, GPE, together with @cgdev_, @unicef and Safe to Learn, supported the Ministerial Taskforce on School Violence roundtable, led by the UK and Sierra Leone.

The roundtable took stock of progress made in national action to tackle school-related violence, highlighting policy reform, financing, and systems-level actions like stronger accountability mechanisms within the education sector.

GPE supports partner countries to help tackle violence at its roots. Through GPE's Safe Learning Initiative, countries build the capacity to prevent and respond to violence in and around schools.

Ahead of the EU's Foreign Affairs Council on Development, GPE, along with representatives of civil society organizations, United Nations agencies and global education partners call on the European Union's Development Ministers to reaffirm quality education as a strategic priority of EU external action.
