FULL LIVE BAND @growhackney 10th JUNE - £5 TICKETS NOW ON DICE 🎲

Delighted to announce we’re doing another full live band show! Probably the only one we’ll do this year, and it’s in London to celebrate the release of ‘Voices Through The Wall’. We’ll also have the incredible @wonky_logic doing a live set on the night, as well as another cool surprise we’ll announce nearer the time.

Honestly, it’s getting more and more difficult to do live shows, especially if you do something niche/different. Venues, promoters and musicians are all struggling, and audiences are staying at home (or only coming out for big names). So if you want live music to survive… buy tickets in advance, tell your friends, support that ish 🎶 We all had so much fun last time out, we couldn’t resist doing it again. I’ll probably do some of my signature Stage Patter, so it’ll be worth it just for that.

@growhackney is a great venue with an excellent community ethos - with their help we’re doing advance tickets at £5, which is a frankly ridiculous price for anything anywhere, let alone in London. Why not buy one for you and 50 of your closest friends to get the ball rolling? 🎟️ s/o @eli1ah for the final slide 🟨

My new album ‘Building Beyond The Sky’ is out TODAY. Here I am in front of the house that inspired the album and its beautiful artwork - thank you @joehboyd. ✍️

This record is about building things, both literal and figurative: momentum; energy; a community; a building. It began on a kitchen table with a laptop and headphones, and ended on stage with the joyful noise of incredible musicians and a fully invested audience. Somewhere in between I wrote off my car, ran a marathon and moved house twice.

It’s been a long and at-times arduous journey, but this feels like a milestone. The music is everything I wanted it to be: direct, euphoric and hopefully pretty unique. I don’t really know what it is - jazz? 🤔- but I reckon it’s decent.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in its creation. I’ve been consistently surprised and humbled by people’s faith in my music, and it’s given me so much confidence. The first time we all got together to play this music live, on camera, felt like such a risk… but the buzz was palpable. Thank you @rosie.turton @frivoloustom @tchurstmusic @woolley_like_sheep @caitlin.l.m for your excellent playing and good humour, and especially @mattdaviesdrums @samvicarymusic for being involved from the outset.

Thanks @eltacodorindustries @jimmysmerds @june.riviera for filming/editing work, @wraudio for audio engineering and the beautiful space, @visualsby_cw for photography and live video, and @leon.atter @xtrabrux for patience and skill with mastering. Thanks @brume_manc @djlubijovanovic for putting on great gigs at @carltonclubmcr @hydeparkbookclub. Grassroots live music spaces are more vital than ever.

Most of all thank you to @rogueandjosh @xvirecordsfor believing in my work when it felt like nobody else did. I couldn’t have done this without your enthusiasm, knowledge and hard work.

If you want good people to keep making stuff, please support them to do so. We can’t rely on tech billionaires and governments to protect culture - we have to do it ourselves.

Finally, you have one more chance to hear this unreal band live (for now🤞). Come to @paperdressvintage on Thursday!

Hello world. I’m delighted to share some BRAND NEW MUSIC with you - this is ‘Loft Music’, taken from my new album ‘Building Beyond The Sky’. You’ll hear much more about this record soon, but for now stream/watch/listen/share and all that good stuff.

The song is about harnessing energy, using it to build something meaningful - elevating yourself and those around you. It starts off lively and then gets livelier. It’s big, fast and full of twists and turns.

Oh and I should mention, I’ve put together a full live band. What a thrill to be able to play with this lineup of some of the best musicians in the country. This is a live recording FFS! Huge thanks to everyone that helped make this a reality.

TRACK BREAKDOWN - ‘For Me, For You’

This one all started with the drums. I wanted to make something punchy and direct, a funky bruk-inspired vibe. The beat is a combination of a chopped-up break and individual hits. Then I added the chords from my Roland Juno-60 - I’ve had this years and still use it on almost everything.

Next steps were the Rhodes and synth bass parts. These were improvised and played in live, with very little editing afterwards. I always try to avoid just looping stuff - it gives the tracks a more human feel and sense of groove.

The final musical element was the horns. I knew I wanted a soulful, warm sound for these - so it called for flute and clarinet as well as trombone from @tchurstmusic for extra lushness.

The tune was crying out for the right female vocal, so I hit up @rubywoodmusic. Ruby has an incredible voice and we share a lot of musical sensibilities, so I knew she’d be onboard with my concept for the song. I was totally blown away by what she came up with - the harmonies on this thing are just sublime.

The only slight issue was editing it all down! But I’m incredibly proud of what we produced here - one for fans of broken beat, neo soul, jazz, garage… all the good stuff. Give it a listen 🎧

Huge thanks to all the great DJs supporting tracks from my new EP 🙌

I always get messages from people who’ve discovered my music through radio, and I’m a fan of all these shows so it’s amazing to hear my own stuff on there. Thank you @djdebgrant for dropping ‘Instruction Manual Raps feat. @open_mike_eagle’ on @bbc6music, and @rohan_rakhit @papa0ul for playing ‘Home!? feat. @nadeemdingabisi’ on @worldwide.fm and @rinse.fm respectively. 🙏 @dubmission and @basicsoulshow, two early supporters of mine, played ‘For Me, For You feat. @rubywoodmusic’ this week too. Big ups!

‘Home!?’ feat. @nadeemdingabisi out now on @xvirecords

‘Home!?’ feat. @nadeemdingabisi ‘For Me, For You’ feat. @rubywoodmusic out now! Runituppp 🚨

Two more tracks from ‘Voices Through The Wall’ out today. More exploration of the themes of building a home, a community, a sanctuary.

I was blown away by Nadeem’s album ‘OFFSHORE’ that came out last year on @moshimoshimusic. I love the content of the record, but also his ability to present complex ideas with such a deftness of touch - I knew we’d be able to make something good together, and ‘Home!?’ is an incredible meditation on belonging that rewards repeated listening, especially the Krio in the second verse.

Most of you will know Ruby as the singer of one of Leeds’ finest exports @submotionorchestra, but she’s also a great solo artist in her own right and I love her @firstwordrecords releases. Her voice is just so bloody smooth, honestly it’s like shoving butter into your ears. The harmonies on this track are just breathtaking. It was a pleasure to work with, for my money, one of the UK’s best singers - we made a bumpy broken beat banger.

Listen wherever you get your music. @xvirecords 🏡

Home!? 🥁 @mattdaviesdrums 🎺 @frivoloustom

This was a huge moment for me - first time we ever played together as a full live band, performing ‘Versionland’ the first track I ever wrote for my solo project. When I wrote the tune I was trying to recreate the sound of a band I wanted to hear, so to eventually make it a reality was crazy 🤯 140bpm techno-jazz in 7/4 anyone?

Come and see us do it all again at @growhackney on 10th June. Search my name on DICE, or comment ‘Versionland’ below to get a DM with the deets! It’ll be a right laugh.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
