Du 18 au 24 mai 2026, le cinéma Pathé Madeleine à Marseille accueillera Holding Liat, un documentaire bouleversant et récompensé en festivals, qui interroge avec sensibilité des thèmes universels : la famille, la transmission, la résilience et notre capacité à rester humains dans un monde traversé par les tensions.

Porté à Marseille par le jeune cinéphile marseillais Nataniel Krief, cet événement se veut ouvert à tous les publics, bien au-delà des appartenances ou des communautés.

In the weeks unfolding after Liat is kidnapped, her father resists efforts to use her captivity to justify escalating violence in Gaza, exposing political and emotional rifts within his family as they struggle to find a way to bring her home. Organize a screening of ‘Holding Liat’ on Kinema.

The Parents Circle – Families Forum is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization made up of more than 800 bereaved families, including Liat. Their common bond is that they have lost a close family member to the conflict. But instead of choosing revenge, they have chosen a path of reconciliation. This organization shares the human side of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with the American public in order to foster a peace and reconciliation process.
