On a personal note, I also can’t say enough positive things about my experience taking Zoloft these last four years and how it has changed my perspective on life. I am not as anxious about the future or worried about the past… In the words of Garth Algar, I am trying my best to ‘Live in the Now, Man” and it’s incredible how much this medication has helped me. Today’s #microphonemonday is an EXTREMELY rare Sony dynamic mic from the 80’s. The F-V300 looks a lot like a C38 or C48, but inside it’s a suspended capsule cardioid mic with a sound that has more in common with a Sennheiser MD409 or 421. In my guitar amp shootout against a bunch of other dynamics, I thought it was closest to the vintage MD408, but with a nicer top end and more bass response. It’s also pretty cute with the “it’s a Sony!” stickers on the front, back, and screen printed on the vinyl box. This one came with the original twist ties on the cable, leading me to believe it was almost never used prior to me getting my hands on it.
