The views are stunning. The food steals the show. 🌴🍛
In this food and travel series, Tasha is crossing misty hills, bustling streets, sun-soaked beaches and jungle lagoons, following flavour wherever it leads.

Kottu. Crab curry. Hoppers. Arrack. Coconut. And landscapes so beautiful they deserve their own close-up.

Watch Jayaflava: Celebrating Sri Lanka.
Premieres 20 Feb, Fridays 8PM IST, only on National Geographic India

This week I’ve had to revisit some of the episodes and re-edit them and this brought me back to the #bts of what it takes to make a show like this! I’m so grateful to the wonderful team that made this come together! #dreamteam

We’re ending where it all began… 🔥🍛

KOTTHU. COLOMBO. CHAOS.

This was the very first episode of Jayaflava: Celebrating Sri Lanka — and somehow I never posted it 😭 so here we are… full circle.

In this one, I take you through the city I call home — COLOMBO — loud, layered, delicious, and always on. I’m way too excited eating my way through Aluthkade, chasing all the best Sri Lankan street food… and of course, following the sound of kottu.

Because kottu isn’t just a dish — it’s a rhythm, a late-night ritual, and the heartbeat of the city.

With brilliant conversations with Nihal Arthanayake and artist + feminist Vicky Shahjahan, this episode is all about the people, the stories, and the energy behind the food. If you want to understand Sri Lanka — start here.

Tasha Marikkar (@jayaflava) has successfully transitioned her Sri Lankan cookbook, Jayaflava, into a National Geographic (@natgeotv) series, marking a significant milestone for the country’s culinary representation. This achievement follows years of research involving over 5,000 books and 200 tested recipes. By challenging the limited perceptions of Sri Lankan food abroad, the project has evolved from a personal mission into a global cultural narrative supported by partners like Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and Mastercard.

The transition from a cookbook to a major broadcast series highlights the power of authentic storytelling in the global market. Marikkar, an LSE alumna with a background in advertising, has leveraged her strategic expertise to position traditional cuisine on an international stage. This milestone reinforces the growing demand for diverse culinary identities and establishes a new standard for how national heritage is exported and celebrated globally.

Final episode. Final feast. And we saved the drama for last. 🍌🔥

Lamprais in Galle — layered, legendary, and worth every bite.

In the final episode of Jayaflava: Celebrating Sri Lanka, Tasha heads to the historic city of Galle with O Tama Carey! Then she heads to Puttalam, to me the iconic Kamal Uncle — who shows us how to make a Sinhalese-style lamprais (and yes… there are opinions 😏).

But it doesn’t stop there — expect a crazy adventure in Ella at Flying Ravana Adventure Park (slightly out of my comfort zone… a few tears, mostly laughs), and a stop in Bentota to explore the legendary architecture of Geoffrey Bawa at Cinnamon Bentota Beach. THIS IS A BIG EPISODE.

Six weeks. Just like that. Gone in a flash.
Missed it? Binge it all now on the Nat Geo India YouTube.

We were recently featured on Jayaflava: Celebrating Sri Lanka on National Geographic, where Radhika and Rob spoke about their journey — moving from New York to Sri Lanka and bringing their brands Lois London, Life of Kings and KING & LOIS with them.

What started in New York became something we rebuilt and reimagined here in Sri Lanka, and this feature tells a small part of that story — the move, the risk, and building the brands again from a new home.

Watch the episode and support 🤍

If Sri Lanka had a national ingredient… it would be coconut. 🥥🔥

In Episode 5 of Jayaflava, Tasha follows the mighty coconut from Colombo’s fire-powered flavours at Gini, to a seafood deep dive at Nihonbashi, and all the way to Puttalam — where coconut trees grow in their thousands.

At Bethany 101, family recipes take over and coconut proves it can do everything: curries, sambols, desserts… even the legendary wattalapan.

One ingredient. Endless flavour. Very Sri Lankan.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
