It is with great pleasure that we invite you to: 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒 @bakbasecamp . This exhibition and public program shares some key learnings developed over the course of 2025, when BAK Basecamp for Tactical Imaginaries began the work of building and rebuilding cultural infrastructures. Focused on access-making and agency building, this first year of ‘camping’ involved bringing together collectives, individuals and organisations who were a part of these processes.
Using the idea of 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 – material and conceptual practices that function to gather and engage us in learning - we now share various outcomes-in-progress, including sculptures, videos, installation, process notes and discussions. These learning objects invite you to think along with us around access and agency, as we draw the past year’s work forward into our 2026 focus, affordances and collectivity.
The exhibition is accompanied by a public program with conversations and workshops with Basecampers, near and far. 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to reflect together on how to continue laying and nourishing the ground for artistic, cultural, materially-grounded and emancipatory democratic practices.

One day after solstice and with the holidays approaching, 𝗕𝗔𝗞 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. We also take this moment to offer 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 everyone 🙏💜 that has supported us in the past year’s whirlwind of unbuilding and rebuilding the cultural institution we think we really need. Thank you to the extended collective of fellow builders, collaborators, companions, critical friends and volunteers, to everyone that visited, donated, participated, was curious and kind. Thank you for your support, your energy and your militant dedication. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂! 🧿
We rounded up the last week of our fall program and as the change of season demands, will close our doors to turn inwards. During January and February we take time for reflection and evaluation, while collecting our learnings from the past year. Because what a year it has been..
We could say that BAK, basis voor actuele kunst with it’s strong and undeniable legacy as an influential, critical space and voice in the art world is being composted. In that soil, the seedling 🌱 of BAK Basecamp was planted. After one year, it has taken root and now a flower blooms 🌺 One companion said, they felt that where BAK, basis voor actuele kunst was about non-fascist living, BAK Basecamp is about anti-fascist training. What began as an experimental phase to think about tactical imaginaries is now a solid collective process and gaining ground with a long-term vision 🔮 Uncertainty and precarity are marks of our time, but nevertheless we are glad to share with you that 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.
We warmly invite you to join us in February, when we share our collective learnings and reflections.
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀! 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻.
Holiday greetings from the BAK Basecamp collective ✨ full holiday message via 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗼

Announcing the inaugural Counterpublic Convening, CIRCUS OF LIFE!
Join us October 24-26, 2025 for a free festival bringing together leading artists, thinkers, and advocates to imagine new ways of being in the world together. Inspired by the richness of circus entertainment and artists’ ability to expand society’s imagination, artists, advocates, and cultural leaders will present ideas and performances, share conversations, pose questions, and host booths of fun and exchange for all to make meaning together.
As we face the crises of our time cultivating connection and locating what we hold in common is urgent and necessary, including this moment in St. Louis, which is experiencing devastating loss from the tornado on May 16. This is not our first tragedy nor the first time we’ve had to be resilient together. The multifaceted challenges of this moment amplify the need for creativity. With this event, we invite reflection on how art strengthens solidarity and leverages community power toward social change.
CIRCUS OF LIFE is organized by New York-based writer and curator Laura Raicovich (@lauraraicovich), alongside Ringleaders Kenneth Bailey (ds4sikb), Galen Gritts, Nontsikelelo Mutiti (@nontsimutiti), and Jeanne van Heeswijk (@jeanneworks). The event will take place in the Grand Center Arts District at the Big Top, an iconic circus tent, and the new Counterpublic House.
Information and a growing lineup of presenters is available on our website. Keep a lookout for more in the coming weeks… 👀
Registration is now open on our website.

How do we counter rising fascism? We organize!
Join us October 11 from 11am to 11pm!
@ De Paradijskerk, Rotterdam
The project Anti-Fascist Church, a first collaboration between @jonas_staal and me, is a 12-hour musical antifascist sermon honouring antifascist symbols of the past and proposing new ones for the future. With the Dutch elections just around the corner, the project resists the national and global rise of authoritarian and genocidal regimes. The Anti-Fascist Church is open to anyone who stands in opposition to fascism. Together, we’ll celebrate anti-fascist unity across difference.

Basecamp is growing slowly…collectivizing step by step with dedication and love
#repost @bakbasecamp
It has passed a little bit more than six months since the last emission of Yallah Sabaya. Six months ago, around grief and sadness, we thought it was the last time that Yallah Sabaya could have the possibility of a safe space within the infrastructure of BAK, now Basecamp for Tactical Imaginaries. Nevertheless, with joy and energy we transform the space again to make it habitable and suitable to have a little moment out of the linearity of routine.
These are precarious moments in the cultural sector, however joining forces with our old-ongoing-built relationships, hand in hand in solidarity, we are trying to collectivise, unbuild and rebuild the remain infrastructure to keep it accessible for those bodies who are in urge and need of social change.
Yesterday, it was a night that sparkled the little hope to continue with this amazing project together with @devoorkamerproject and @welkominutrecht in thriving endurance, and all the volunteers that helped to make this still possible.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
