About the Class:

In this months Contact Improvisation workshop we welcome SPRING!

SPRING INTO ME explores the relationship between compression and rebound in contact improvisation. Inspired by both the seasonal shift of spring and the physical mechanics of springs, this laboratory-style workshop investigates how bodies receive weight, store energy, and release it into lifts and shared momentum. Through exercises in safe falling, catching, lifting, rebounding, and redirecting, we’ll develop the skills needed to move with greater freedom and confidence in the jam space.

This class blends aspects of contact improvisation, partnering, play-fighting, movement culture, and contemporary dance to cultivate trust, responsiveness, and a willingness to lean into the unknown.

All backgrounds, experience levels, and ages are welcome to "SPRING INTO ME".

Evoca elementos do Natural onde, a música de joaehun e os visuais de Hugo Aston convergem na exploração sinergética entre guitarra, composições eletrónicas, luz e vídeo. con(text)ural vive da proximidade com o espectador num encontro imersivo, performativo e deslumbrante.

João Meirinhos, também conhecido pelo seu nome artístico @joaehun , é um multi-instrumentista e compositor electrónico Português. Com um percurso maioritariamente autodidata, joaehun frequentou Guitarra Jazz na Academia Valentim de Carvalho e conta com atuações em diferentes projectos em diversos países como os EUA, Índia, Tailândia e Taiwan. O seu trabalho atual combina guitarra com paisagens eletrônicas, criando uma linguagem musical dinâmica e fluída que se inspira na música clássica ao hip hop, música ambiente e música eletrónica experimental.

Hugo Aston ( @hugo.aston ), é um artista plástico português focado em Media Art. O seu trabalho multidisciplinar centra-se na manipulação em tempo real de dimensões visuais como luz, animação 3D generativa e vídeo. Estudou Artes Plásticas na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto onde desenvolveu a sua prática artística e também produziu instalações para exposições internacionais.

This video merges two things I really appreciate in life: making music and being out in nature. When I’m able to have both together then, the best of both worlds comes up for me.
In this video I’m using a little machine called Ableton Move that allows me to take creation to any place due to its in built rechargeable battery. It’s also a really fun, very intuitive and very interesting device. I usually don’t do a lot of finger drumming but in this case I was enjoying one of its preset acoustic drum kits.

As the title might not so clearly suggest, fundau was created for the Fundamentos do Áudio II class in @amporto. The purpose was to work with MIDI and so I tried exploring the new MIDI generation and transformation tools @ableton has to offer since it Live 12 update.
Not a lot of precise composition done here but more so musical exploration.
