About the Class:

In this months Contact Improvisation workshop we welcome SPRING!

SPRING INTO ME explores the relationship between compression and rebound in contact improvisation. Inspired by both the seasonal shift of spring and the physical mechanics of springs, this laboratory-style workshop investigates how bodies receive weight, store energy, and release it into lifts and shared momentum. Through exercises in safe falling, catching, lifting, rebounding, and redirecting, we’ll develop the skills needed to move with greater freedom and confidence in the jam space.

This class blends aspects of contact improvisation, partnering, play-fighting, movement culture, and contemporary dance to cultivate trust, responsiveness, and a willingness to lean into the unknown.

All backgrounds, experience levels, and ages are welcome to "SPRING INTO ME".

In HORSEPLAY, we draw inspiration from HORSE and FIRE to explore playful, energetic ways of moving together. Through touch, responsiveness, and shared attention, we invite boldness and play while practicing how to take calculated risks. By combining elements of contact improvisation, play-fighting, movement culture, and contemporary dance, we learn to trust ourselves and one another as we lean into the unknown.

All backgrounds, experience levels, and ages are welcome to engage in HORSEPLAY.

An invitation to move closer to the earth — and into ease. We will explore spiral patterns, floorwork, low-level weight sharing and transition.
