'THE COLOR PULP' out now!!

⤹ listen here

welcome to the world my first born child.
'THE COLOR PULP' is finally out after two years in the making. What a day to celebrate all the laughter and tears that was put into the creation of this record. My first body of work that was made during the most challenging and pivotal time of my life. Leaving Egypt, starting anew, met with excitement, fears and the brutal realities of the west. These wide range of emotions are what fueled me to write this and I hope anyone experiencing anything similar can find solace in the music.
To my main collaborator @_belal.ali
I couldn't have done this without you and your brilliant yet sensitive mind. Such a hidden gem you are. I still think about our sleepless nights just trying to get a vocal take with my eyes half shut. Forever treasuring this experience and have no doubt that this is only the beginning of our work together.
To every single person that was involved in the creation of this record, I thank you deeply for believing in me and bringing my inner world to reality.

@SceneNoise #AlbumSpotlight: In September 2025, Egyptian singer-songwriter Juno resurfaced after a year-long hiatus with news of a new EP, ‘The Color Pulp’, a six-track project that saw her expanding her sonic universe beyond the peripheries of the indie, acoustic-led formula of her breakthrough, pivoting for a more experimental, exploratory productions.
Co-produced by herself and her longtime collaborator Belal Ali, and mastered by the visionary Heba Kadry - whose credits include the likes of Bjork and Beach House - ‘The Color Pulp’ reads like Juno’s self-reflection on her journey of starting over after moving to Berlin, grippling with a mosaic of emotions, including excitement, fear, disillusionment and anger. Her move to Berlin becomes both backdrop and catalyst, filtering into dreamy lyricism, ethereal vocals, and melodies fizzing with influences from the city’s indie and electronic undercurrents.
During her latest visit to Cairo, we caught up with Juno, where she shared with us the genesis story of the EP and how it feels like her own sonic metamorphosis. She also reflected on the story behind ‘Did It All For Me’, which is one of the closest tracks to her heart on the album, and how she doesn’t take herself seriously.

Nighttime car rides with dreamy synth-pop, this is Cairo According to: Juno.
Amid a sea of noise in the country’s capital, Jannah Emam, aka Juno, is a highly distinctive one. Since first appearing on the scene through open mics, the musician carved out a space for herself in the Cairo underground with a sound that was equally a haven from the city’s chaos and yet so well suited to it. That sound has since carried her to stages beyond the country, but the Cairo native still calls this city her home.
In this edition of Cairo According to, Juno shows us her car, pays tribute to the venue where she first took to the stage, and shares the song that feels most like Cairo to her.

#NoiseSpotted: Egyptian singer-songwriter Juno took to the stage at Berlin’s Arkaoda, showcasing a different side of her musicality with a rare Arabic performance. Her rendition of Najat Al Saghira’s ‘Bahlam Ma’ak’ captured the ‘in-between’ energy of her latest EP, ‘The Color Pulp’ -a project that explores themes of belonging and identity during her transition from Cairo to Berlin, as she explained to #SceneNoise in our latest episode of Album Spotlight.

@just.junoo’s debut EP ‘The Color Pulp’ took shape over the past two years, developed across studio sessions in Cairo with producer @_belal.ali while the singer and songwriter navigated a move to Berlin. The project sees her push beyond the indie and instrumental textures of her earlier work, leaning into electronics and more experimental territory.
In conversation with Dazed MENA, Juno reflects on the making of the record, the emotions that shaped it, and why being Egyptian and telling her own story has always felt like enough representation.
