Our team members came together recently to take part in the HOKA Half Marathon in Sydney.
Joining thousands of runners, the team tackled the 21.1km course through the city and its surrounding precincts, taking in some of Sydney’s iconic landmarks along the way.
Whether chasing personal bests or simply getting to the finish line, it was a great effort from everyone involved, with plenty of support both on and off the course.
Well done to all Kane participants who took part and represented Kane.
@runawaysydneyhalf
Our Picton team recently welcomed colleagues from our NSW office for a walkthrough
of our Wollondilly projects.
Together, we stepped through the Wollondilly Government Services Building and the
Single Deck Car Park, both now in their final stages, delivered in collaboration with
@wollondillyshirecouncil and @williamsrossarchitects.
From achieving a 5 Star NABERS rating on the GSB to delivering key infrastructure for
a growing community, it’s been a strong result across both projects.
A nice moment to pause and reflect on what’s been delivered, with final completion now
in sight.
Kane Constructions is proud to be supporting the refurbishment of Haven House Heathmont with the @propertyindustryfoundation and @lighthousefoundation.
For 15 years, this home has provided safety, support and stability for children and young people experiencing homelessness and trauma.
We’ll be delivering upgrades to the bathroom, kitchen and interior spaces to help ensure the home can continue its important work for years to come.
Several trades and supply partners are contributing to the project, and we thank each of our partners involved:
AC Interiors | ALD Expert Demo | Anova Electrical Pty Ltd | Ark Coating | Bestlink| Chadoak | Dulux | Mapei Australia | Milliken & Company | Protecta | Stanmore Ceramics Pty Ltd | Winnings Appliances | Yarra Carpentry
A great example of what can be achieved when the property and construction industry
comes together behind an important cause.

Our Victorian team has successfully completed the VCAT accommodation fitout at 308 La Trobe Street for Court Services Victoria, delivering modern, fit-for-purpose spaces across 10 levels in Melbourne’s CBD.
The project involved the transformation of warm and cold shell spaces into hearing rooms, mediation areas, offices and shared facilities, all delivered through a carefully staged approach to minimise disruption within the building.
Sustainability was front of mind, with initiatives supporting reduced carbon emissions, improved energy performance and enhanced end-of-trip facilities for building users. First Nations design elements, including art, artefacts and language, are integrated throughout the project in collaboration with the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation.
Located within a highly connected precinct, the completed facility provides improved access to essential tribunal services for staff and visitors alike. The venue will be officially operating from late March and further details about services and operations can be found on the VCAT website.

Great to see the Huntley Street Recreation Centre for the @cityofsydney nearing completion.
Located in Alexandria, the project is transforming a former warehouse into a new multi-purpose indoor sports and recreation facility for the local community.
Strong progress has been made across several areas of the project in recent weeks. Sports flooring installation is now underway, the awning beam structure has been installed and is receiving its final paint finish, landscape works have commenced externally, and the internal fitout continues to take shape with joinery, services and amenities coming together.
The project represents another important community facility for the City of Sydney, and a strong collaborative effort from the project team and delivery partners including the architects, @collinsandturner.
A fantastic effort from the entire team as the project moves into its final stages.
Kane Constructions features in A New ANZAC, the four part SBS documentary series following the redevelopment of the @awmemorial.

✅ Delivering complex construction in live operational environments
✅ Working respectfully within places of heritage and national importance
✅ Collaborating closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders
✅ Applying engineering insight to overcome major buildability challenges
The documentary reflects the commitment, precision and care demonstrated by everyone involved in delivering this extraordinary project, and the deep respect required when building within a place that stands as a national symbol of remembrance for those who served, sacrificed and shaped our country’s history.

Our Queensland team has been awarded the ECI Phase and Early Works contract to deliver the @cityofgoldcoast Music Hall project at Surfers Paradise.
Construction is officially underway on the project, with the commencement celebrated with Mayor Tom Tate unveiling the foundation stone on Monday, 2 March.
The project will include a 5-level basement remediation, redeveloping the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre into a venue for live music, community events and cultural activities.
The new Music Hall will provide the Gold Coast community with a world-class venue for artists, events and businesses, and attract national and international touring artists.
Kane looks forward to delivering this exciting project for the City of Gold Coast in partnership with @armarchitecture.
Proudly celebrating 10 years of @areteaustralia, a division of Kane Constructions.

A milestone moment at New Epping Medical.
We recently marked the start of construction on New Epping Medical with a groundbreaking ceremony alongside @riverleegroup and project partners.
Delivered in collaboration with Capital Insight Pty Ltd and @clarkehopkinsclarke, the six-storey medical building will form part of the New Epping Health Hub, supporting the future of healthcare in Melbourne’s north.
We are proud to be part of a project that will support the future of healthcare in Melbourne’s north.
A major milestone has been reached at the Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment, with the completion of the project’s rammed earth walls.
As head contractor, Kane has delivered this iconic feature in collaboration with @grimshawarch and specialist rammed earth subcontractor @earth_structures_group. Formed using locally sourced aggregates, the walls have been compacted in layers and stabilised to create a durable and enduring façade.
The design draws directly from the landscape. The cliffs at the Twelve Apostles were formed over millions of years through the compaction of seabed sediments. The rammed earth walls respond to that geology by reinterpreting the site’s layered character in built form.
Each wall embraces subtle variations in tone and texture. These natural irregularities are intentional, helping the building feel grounded in its coastal environment rather than imposed upon it. Constructing rammed earth at this scale, and with complex wall geometries, requires careful coordination, detailed planning and precision at every stage. It is rewarding to see the walls now realised on site.
The Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment is funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments through the Geelong City Deal.
The Visitor Experience Centre is being delivered by Development Victoria with Kane Constructions as head contractor and will be managed by the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority.
The precinct is being delivered in cooperation with the Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation.
