What have our hosts been up to over the past few months, aside from taking great care of our visitors? 👀✨🏡
Since the relaunch of Kunstavond @kunstavond, Benticklyn @benticklyn, Giu @pouise and Katy @katatohead have programmed this monthly free event. Inspired by the idea of the showroom as their home away from home, they explored a different aspect of hospitality with our visitors each time. From housewarming to trinketswap, the art of making people feel at home was at the heart of their comfy ‘n cozy experiments.
To mark the end of this series, they will present the findings of their research at the place where all their activities come together: our showroom. This coming Friday, during Kunstavond, the final event of our Friday Night at Ours-series. Come join us! 18:00–21:00.
Free entrance.
Public presentation starting at 19:00.

🇬🇧 - Collective lino poster making:
In November we will work on a collaborative lino poster making workshop where we will explore how knowledge is shared, shaped, and circulated. Together, we’ll think through making about how collective poster making can become a form of resistance, a way to challenge dominant narratives and imagine different ways to exchange knowledge.
Sunday the 30th of November from 13h-15h.
This project is possible with the help of cultuur concreet and Gemeente Rotterdam.
🇳🇱 - Collectief lino-poster maken:

We are staying home this summer!
We invite you to our upcoming exhibition OUR HOUSE, where we explore the concept of “space”: What is space? When are you allowed to claim it? And when does a place feel safe? Through art and events, we’ll unravel what makes a house a home.
🗓️ Opening Night: Friday, June 13th
✨Curated by Claire Zandvliet ( @naaiclubnoord )
Featured Artists:
👉 Alana Wieland@studiohuhh
👉 Louise Wieland@studiohuhh
👉 Katayun Taraporevala@katatohead
Throughout OUR HOUSE, we host a series of activities where we collectively explore more space. Stay tuned for updates!

🥗A long table, clad in canvas fabric, prepared for dinner with plates, pens, and bowls of colourful vegetable sticks, surrounded by chairs in different shapes and colours welcomed our guests in the (by now former) space of Queer Rotterdam.
Together with artist and organiser Katayun Taraporevala and Queer Rotterdam member Sofia Carnelli we presented the three course literary menu of the evening. While sharing homemade bread and carrots, celeriac and cucumber dipped in guacamole, tzatziki, and bean paste, we discussed who gets a seat at the table. Together, we wondered if we necessarily needed to sit around a table, where the number of chairs is always limited, or if we could gather on the floor instead. Between each course, we played a round of musical chairs to mix up the seating order, while adjusting the game so everyone would get a spot.
Underneath their spoon, people could find quotes from texts responding to the role of food in queer communities: communal cooking as a way to provide for each other’s needs and to nurture forms of kinship alternative to the nuclear family. People silently read their quotes and reached across the table to exchange snippets of texts. While enjoying the main course, rice and pumpkin stew, we exchanged thoughts on the quotes we encountered and spoke about our own chosen families and the different struggles we are involved in. Throughout, people doodled and scribbled on the table cloth, creating a tapestry of images and words.
After changing seats again, dessert was served: rawa, an Indian sweet semolina pudding, with different toppings like chocolate, nuts, raisins, and jams. Over dessert, we played a game of broken telephone with excerpts from Audre Lorde’s Women Redefining Difference, which speaks about how Capitalism tries to divide us by hierarchizing human differences. Quotes were whispered from ear to ear, filtered through people’s experience, transformed each time, until reaching the last person who spoke the altered quote out loud. We noted that the quotes got simplified in the process, making it easier to understand, but in some cases the meaning also shifted from the original intention.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
