Trying an underglaze marker from Amazon…SPOILER ALERT:
it works 😱.
My goal with trying this marker was to see if it could make my hand painted mugs a bit more time efficient (I’ve been using a paintbrush that’s like 1 bristle wide and it’s killing me).
This @pasler_art marker came with a few tips and the sharpest worked the best for what I needed (but I would love an even finer nib for these mugs specifically). I did a test at cone 5 and it held up beautifully so I went ahead tried it for drawing the outlines on my more detailed mugs.
After a bunch of tests, i’d say this underglaze marker is a great option for my word based pieces like the swear jar and pleasant plates but will probably stick to my painful tiny brush process for the more detailed work until there’s a finer tip available.
THINGS TO NOTE:
- My experience has been that the smoother the surface, the better the result. Burnishing the heck out of your piece will help prevent the ink from running inside any little grooves.
- I’ve only tried the black marker but might experiment with other colors to see how they faire in a cone 5-6 glaze firing.
- I bought this marker with my own money, this is not a sp0srd post but if you want to try it out there’s a link in my bio :)

This little bridal party commission is off to its people! If you’ve been to a bachelorette, you know the most important thing you’re going to drink is your hangover coffee the next day. I started by designing the wordmark in @adobe illustrator and then after I made all 11 vessels, I hand painted them and the result is a pretty cute cult of cups 💁🏻♀️ ☕️

Bringing a smol human into the world in a few months so I figured it would be a totally chill idea to make bud vases as a thank you favor for my shower guests. PLOT TWIST: Turns out this is more important than my wedding and there will (literally) be 10x more people in attendance… 🫠 that’s ok though, I’m nearly done and in part two you’ll see what a Beatrix Potter meets Wes Anderson baby shower looks like (thanks to @ashleyallison_ who is the queen of throwing a party with *perfect* aesthetics.) #ceramics #babyshowerideas
It may be -20 outside but my esophagus is feeling like 100 degrees. Unfortunately this ceramic Pepto vase won’t help your heartburn, but it will look cute on your shelf.

I’m going to blame it on the weather that the most recent pieces coming out of the kiln are… warmer…

I’ve been making these functional ceramic matchboxes for a while (Valentines drop coming) and explored so many ways to get a more consistent transfer. I’ve even made my own underglaze transfers with rice paper but the easiest way I’ve found is this:
1. Print my design on a regular piece of printer paper (I have a simple at home @canoncanada printer).
2. Cut out the design and wet the paper (fairly well, I drop mine in a bowl of water for a few seconds).
3. Place your wet paper on greenware. This also works on bisque but I find greenware makes the best transfer.
4. Then lightly trace the damp paper with a regular pen. Wet the paper more as needed, the moisture will help the transfer (too dry and nothing happens). You can also secure the transfer with painters tape to keep it in place. **Use medium/light pressure when tracing since greenware is very delicate.
5. When you lift the paper a light transfer of what you traced will be visible and the perfect guide to paint over!

First kiln unload of the new year! This custom order is for the new @staylevelmusicgroup office. The two company heads were looking for different things in their coffee cups but with a bit of collaboration and experimentation I was able to create something that made everyone happy. The result is a set that is visually similar yet distinctly handmade.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
