And here is the completed Phase 2 of the Pumphouse Development!Phase 2 is a new 6 story mixed use building to the east of the original heritage Pumphouse building. Phase 2 boosts commercial retail space on the main floor and residential apartments above on floors 2 through 5. This building displays crisp lines and sleek finishes, beautifully complimenting thesteel framed stilt-like structure with wood framed residential units above. This is a building you need to walk around to appreciate! At LDA we love a good design challenge, and this project did not disappoint!

LDA is the Engineer of Record for all 3 Phases of this Alston Properties redevelopment with our friends @546Arch who beautifully juxtaposed old with the new.

Stay tuned to for updates on Phase 3 coming soon!

It's hard to believe it's already been 25 years since Lavergne Draward & Associates inc. was founded! On September 23rd, 1998, Julien Lavergne and Brad Draward opened their doors with the vision of creating a company that not only provides exceptional services to their clients but one who works to support them throughout the entire process. It took hard work, dedication and determination, but LDA quickly grew in its first five years, expanding from a staff of just two to twelve and completing over one thousand projects! Today, LDA still follows those same fundamentals of innovative design, client satisfaction, and seamless projects from start to finish. In this monumental year, we are proud to mark our 10,000th completed project, a feat that Julien and Brad had dreamed of for the company. We would like to thank all our wonderful clients for coming along with us over the last 25 years and look forward to continuing to provide the highest quality services. Here's to 25 more years! #LDA25

We are so proud to have been a part of the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada project! Working with the incredible team of Architecture 49, Reitch + Petch Architects and PCL Construction, we have come together to create a monumentally unique 86,000 square feet facility for everyone to enjoy. See our work soar to life with the aircrafts suspended from the steel framed structure, as well as the galleries, meeting rooms, classrooms, and gift shops! Don't forget to take in the stunning views of the active runways from the Richardson international airport. Step back through time when you experience the largest aviation heritage collection in Canada, spanning decades back to the 1920’s. #LDA25

Endayaan Omaa “Home is Here”

Located within the landmark Naawi-Oodena Urban Reserve and currently under construction, Endayaan Omaa is a nine-storey, 260-unit residential development that will provide housing for the surrounding community. Developed in collaboration with the Treaty One Development Corporation, the apartments are positioned as the flagship residential project within the broader Naawi-Oodena Urban Reserve master plan.

Portions of the development are allocated for affordable housing, while other areas are reserved for First Nations individuals, underscoring a community-focused vision grounded in reconciliation and the creation of a resilient, inclusive community for the future.

From a structural perspective, the building is supported on a foundation system comprising precast driven piles to provide a stable and reliable base. The underground parkade is constructed using reinforced concrete foundation walls, grade beams, structural slabs, and slab-on-grade elements. The superstructure from the main floor through the ninth floor utilizes a non-combustible structural system consisting of structural steel framing, masonry walls, and hollow-core floor slabs, enhancing fire resistance, durability, and long-term performance.

We’re excited to be working on this project with friends at:

The Sol & Luna apartments at Aurora, located in the North Point community, provide a unique residential experience with six apartment buildings and two clubhouses constructed in two phases. These four-story structures feature a wood-framed design with underground concrete parkades.

The use of a light wood-framed structure enabled the incorporation of hollow-core slabs on the main floor, serving both as the floor system and primary support for the load-bearing corridor walls spanning the building’s length. This approach facilitated faster construction by reducing heating and hoarding requirements and incorporating more prefabricated elements, resulting in time and cost savings.

Meet Eric Lavergne

An LDA partner since 2016, Eric has been a leading member of the LDA team for more than 10 years.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Eric has honed his ability to manage people and resources effectively to meet the goals of contractors and architects. His construction experience dates back to 2005, and he has since built a strong foundation in structural engineering. Eric graduated from Red River Polytechnical College in 2011 with a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and furthered his education at Lakehead University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2013. He holds certifications in Manitoba, Ontario, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, and Yukon, making him the primary point of contact for LDA’s northern projects. With a deep understanding of the challenges posed by harsh climates, Eric focuses on designing resilient, durable, and efficient structures that are both practical and easy to construct.

One of Eric’s most notable projects is the ongoing renovation and expansion of Bethesda Health Centre, which will enhance healthcare services by adding 23 acute care medicine beds and expanding the pharmacy department to support additional chemotherapy services. Beyond healthcare, some of Eric’s favorite projects include the Red Sucker Lake First Nation School, Attawapiskat Youth Centre, and the Seven Generations Education Institute’s main campus—each featuring striking, exposed glulam beams that combine structural integrity with architectural appeal.

Outside of work, Eric enjoys the outdoors, spending time at the lake, fishing, and making memories with his family.

The building is divided into two sections: a 4-story pre-cast concrete parkade beneath the 5th floor on the north side, and the main building extending to 11 stories with a mechanical penthouse. The steel-framed main structure incorporates a flush-framed link beam, allowing mechanical equipment to run smoothly and minimizing floor-to-floor heights, thereby saving costs. Hollow core panels support most floors, with the penthouse roof using traditional open web steel joists. Lateral support is provided by concrete stair and elevator shafts, eliminating the need for invasive steel cross bracing. Both sections are founded on driven concrete piles with pile caps designed to handle gravity and overturning forces.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
