😴 When I first started teaching Meditation, so many of my clients - especially men, would fall asleep when I asked them to close their eyes and focus on their breath. They were so exhausted from staying up late that they just needed to be given permission in that moment to relax their mind and slow down their heart rate and brainwaves.

In this modern day hustle culture, we forget how detrimental it is to believe that we can skimp on sleep. It’s when our mind gets to restore everything we have put it through - especially the damage to our cells caused by stress!

We are here to have a human bonding experience with each other so we can be in balance, be present and connect.
Lack of sleep makes us feel irritable all day and then we can be triggered into further impulsive bad habits.

Find stillness. Close your eyes.
Take 3 slow breaths — each exhale twice as long as the inhale. Let your body sink heavy.
