WIM. Project by Alicia Godel @aliciamariagodel

WIM is a typeface developed from an unfinished sketch in Wim Crouwel’s New Alphabet (1967), reinterpreting and completing its modular logic. Originally created during the first type design module, the project evolved continuously throughout the studies, resulting in an expanded glyph set and a refined specimen. The typeface extends Crouwel’s experimental approach into a contemporary context, balancing systematic construction with practical application. WIM has since been used across various projects and was featured in @mxtp_vol.1

Module Type Design Basics. 2024.

Supervised by David Keshavjee @maxitype_com Giliane Cachin @gilianecachin and Samira Schneuwly @samiraschneuwly

New Swiss Banknote Series (2nd Prize)

Our proposal for the new Swiss banknote series “Switzerland as Ecosystem” was awarded 2nd prize by the Swiss National Bank (SNB).

Our series reveals the richness and diversity of Switzerland through the lens of the ecosystem. Each landscape is understood as a living system in which organisms (biocoenosis) continuously interact with their physical environment (biotope). Through this perspective, Switzerland unfolds as a network of interconnected habitats.

The front side of each banknote features an emblematic animal and its environment, illustrating this living balance. The reverse side introduces a cartographic dimension. When the six notes are aligned, they assemble into a complete miniature atlas of the country.

This series celebrates Swiss nature and its landscapes while inviting reflection on our place within this vast living ecosystem.

Thanks to the extended “dream team” who worked with us:
@gilianecachin @mariettaeugster @langage_universel @guymeldem

And congratulations to @emphase_lausanne_bern for winning the 1st prize!

Art direction and graphic design by @julien_hebert in collaboration with @celine_le_chien for Baloney 5uicide, the final album of their artist friend @violettpi.

It’s bold and conceptually sharp. Illusion turned into a physical metaphor. The tension between romance and falseness is powerful, and the embossed metal detail transforms it into an object, almost ritualistic.

This publication includes a Desktop License (1 CPU) for the 40 fonts in this volume.

Available at www.draw-down.com

MXTP Vol. 1 (Display Typefaces)

Maxitype presents MXTP Vol. 1, a compilation of blocky, funky, artificial, experimental, geometric, brainy, comic, distorted, remixed, organic, bubbly, pixelated, obsolete, brutal, reflective, regular, medium, sensitive, dusty, arrogant, sticky, unbalanced, trippy and bumpy display typefaces, designed mostly during the hot summer type residency programmes held by Maxitype and friends in Cucuron, Luberon, France.

This parallel program, orginally called Maxitype Free Font Residency—later renamed MXTP— aims to invest time and energy in the development of typefaces liberated from market needs, without the pressure to design anything aesthetically acceptable of commercially relevant. Out of office, loud music always: references, techniques, software and shapes are unleashed. Playing with different inputs and speeds, some fonts were created in the course of a week, a day, or even in an hour by the swimming pool or late at night at the bar La Payotte. After three years of MXTP summer residencies, we're happy to compile the results in a volume that functions as a visual mix tape.

Typefaces in this volume were designed by Selina Bernet, Orlando Brunner, Giliane Cachin, Anatole Couteau, Pablo Desportes, Jules Estèves, Marietta Eugster, Eurostandard, Adrian Frutiger, Alicia Godel, Daniel Haettenschwiller, Thomas Hervé, Sarah Iller, David Keshavjee, Martin Lostis, Simon Mager, Maximage, Guy Meldem, Omnitype, Thomas Petit, Clemens Piontek, Clément Rouzaud, Jakub Samek, Teo Schifferli and Julien Tavelli.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
