"The Feeling's Mutual" feat. @okay.kaya is out today along with the music video I directed. I'll write more about the song's origin story (and the b-side) next week but for now I'll talk about the video. Since Kaya lives in Norway and we had no way to make a music video together, I had the idea to make a video with fingers dancing to the song. I posted to ask if anybody I knew could finger dance and my friend @officialsolstreet who is just a genius at everything told me she could try it. So she came over and did a handful of takes and @pgdm helped me edit and it's my favorite music video I've ever made. I also want to thank everybody who worked on or played on this recording. @naomi.greene played harp (and bass on the low harp strings!) and @amandalomcgregor @mindyasher played the string arrangement I wrote that @caleymw_ orchestrated with me like 15 years ago. Kaya played synths and most of this was recorded at @kizmitmusic and mixed by my old friend Lewis Pesacov. Watch the full video at my website link in bio or at the link in my stories.

Our debut single “Solitaire” is out today along with a music video about an innocent girl corrupted by jazz!

The song was written and produced by @michaelleviton and recorded live to tape at @thumprecording with a band of musicians we love @mattbauder @joncowherdmusic @talmasaya @daniel_freedman_ .It was mixed by @rektagon and mastered by @saltmastering

The video was also directed and shot by @michaelleviton starring @kittyverte @lovebbnyc @michaelleviton featuring @philip.ambuel and @samibronowski. Cinematography by @michaelleviton and @pgdm edited by @pgdm. Hair and makeup by @pott28 🖤

This was especially fun to make because the band was founded by my old friend @deveryminou who I had a band with in my early twenties called La Laque and it had been almost twenty years since we'd collaborated. We shot this at @thehancockfoundation with hair/makeup by the great @pott28 and @thumprecording loaned us the perfect tape machine for an insane therapist and @pgdm edited it and it was amazing to let myself be this non-linear in my thinking for once.

@alinvlee and I wrote a song together and it's out today along with the video I directed and shot in Los Angeles (thanks to @rebeccaschiffman and @straintest for the location!) I produced and recorded this song in his apartment and played the guitars and keyboards and @bot__offline played bass and @rektagon mixed it and @saltmastering mastered it and @pgdm edited the video and I love everybody involved in making this.
