Øuter | Post-Rock & Ambient
🎵 promoting post-rock, ambient, experimental.
🖤 anything "post" is welcome.

It’s my 2nd time at @acolossalweekendcph , and it’s such an inspiring way to open the festival season in 2026.
What I enjoyed most was discovering bands and artists crossing various genres, from immersive sludge and black metal to slowcore, shoegaze, and experimental post-rock. The whole weekend felt like being pulled into different sonic worlds one after another.
A few highlights for me included:
• @sunkendenmark : who brought a completely immersive live experience with their sublime atmospheric black metal.
• @russiancircles : my 4th time seeing them live, and they were still as intense and powerful as ever.
• The warm-up show from @bruit_official : combining cinematic soundscapes with experimental post-rock textures in a deeply emotional way.
Overall, the experience was superb. I’m already looking forward to the next 2 festivals I’ll be attending next weekend: Dunk!Fest and Berlin Atonal

OUTER SELECTION 1 3 🖤
東京酒吐座 [Tokyo Shoegazer] - Remains
“Remains delivers a dense blend of shoegaze and post-rock, layering swirling guitars with melancholic melodies, which feels both distant and emotionally impulsive with a sense of fading memory.”
Amulets - Rem(a)inders
“Through loops, tape textures, and ambient decay, Rem(a)inders unfolds as a haunting, introspective soundscape filled with subtle tension and warmth.”
sunn O))) - sunn O)))
“A monolithic exploration of drone metal, sunn O))) immerses listeners in slow-moving, immersive waves of distortion and resonance. Its minimalism amplifies a sense of ritualistic intensity and physical presence.”
Long Distance Calling - The Phantom Void
“The Phantom Void balances heavy riffs with expansive melodies, creating a both dynamic and cinematic soundscape.”

This Wednesday, @ne0x8 presents @outer.postrock, bringing the 3rd edition of ØUTER_MIX series.
This time, I will select tracks that reflect my mental state and life over the past two years, navigating feelings of hopelessness and underlying tension shaped by an increasingly worsening social and political environment since 2024.
Moving between melancholic yet explosive post-rock and foggy, drone-like ambient textures, the mix traces a state of survival, detachment, self-healing in the face of uncertainty.
Catch it live on @refugeworldwide from 1–2pm (CET). ☄️

ØUTER Year-End: Best Live Performance Moment in 2025
With gothic melodies suspended between sorrow and eruption, @aswarmofthesun crafted a performance at @dunkfestival that felt both hauntingly tender and emotionally devastating.
* Below is something really subjective and personal *
Everyone has their own way of experiencing music. For some, it’s about physical sensation; for others, music awakens memories. But for me, when I listen to music, especially at concerts or gigs, my mind often fills with spontaneous images and visuals. These inner scenes shift and evolve with the rises and falls of the instrumentation of the sound, unfolding in a deeply metaphorical way.
Personally, 2024 was a difficult year mainly because of the worsening global socio-political climate and everything that affected me deeply. I was diagnosed with depression in July. Although I tried really hard to feel better in 2024, the heaviness still lingered into early 2025.
Then I went to Dunk!, and somehow it became one of the best days of 2025 so far. When A Swarm Of The Sun took the stage, the boiling intensity of the music amplified my imagination. Especially when the performance reached its seething climax during “An Heir to the Throne”, a burst of different visuals was popping in my mind - I saw new possibilities for the world, a sense of future hope, and a new version of myself being capable and confident. I saw another me walking towards me, and said: If not today, then tomorrow; If not this time, then next time; If not this phase, then the next phase; If not this dimension, then a new one. (This may sound really random, but those images and words somehow made me feel way better).
I cried, carried by the haunting guitar lines. Because of this personal and emotional layer, it became my best live performance moment, and one of the best moments, in 2025.
“If you reach what you feel
You can be something real
And you could finally live
You could win
You're the truth
You're the King”
