Overlapse
Independent publisher of photobooks + collaborator with photographers/artists/storytellers from around the world. Making books you'll want to collect!

In this work, Bryan Anselm brings together years and years of fieldwork documenting the disasters caused by climate change. The title itself, Sound the Sirens takes us straight to the heart of the project. His work is meticulous, dangerous, and extremely empathetic. This book builds a bridge between victims and viewers, seeking to break down the wall that makes us feel we are on one side or the other.

Sound the Sirens encompasses the long-term effects that climate disasters have on communities across the United States, with tens of thousands of people left homeless and displaced while trying to rebuild their lives. Despite decades of warnings by climate scientists about the impact of rising temperatures on the stability of our planet, climate data is now broadly ignored in the service of capital and convenience, while risking the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
Folded between the book pages, underlying images of solar flares with orange hues leak out from within. This design experience is a reminder of the driving forces behind climate disaster, with pictures of devastation tinged with the glow of ever-growing heat.

#GreifAlumni: We love to see artists whose work we have previously supported flourish! Join us in celebrating Marinos Tsagkarakis’s (@marinos_tsagkarakis) new publication with Overlapse (@overlapse), “Strawberry Blue.” 🍓
💬 Marinos describes how we supported this publication in becoming a reality; “The Der Greif X MPB (@mpbcom) scholarship came at the right moment, offering meaningful validation of the quality and relevance of my photographic work. It also provided essential support in developing the project further and ultimately bringing it to completion as a photobook.”
Officially launched in March at Unseen (@unseenphotofair) 2026, “Strawberry Blue” began after the artist’s migration from Greece to the Netherlands, where he was seriously injured in a road accident shortly after arriving.
An arduous recovery process, along with upheaval in adapting to an unfamiliar environment, triggered an inner quest for belonging and identity redefinition. Over time, Tsagkarakis wandered a local Dutch park, observing its shifting, dreamlike terrain and connecting with strangers and the natural world. The work reflects an off-kilter sense of resilience, persistence, and growing new roots. 🪴

"Birds flying high, you know how I feel
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by, you know how I feel
It's a new dawn, It's a new day
It's a new life for me, ooh
And I'm feeling good"
💓 Nina Simone
Our new title has arrived and is now flying round the world... meet STRAWBERRY BLUE by Marinos Tsagkarakis 🕊️
A meditative work photographed in an alluring local park in the Netherlands; Strawberry Blue began in the aftermath of the artist’s migration north from Greece, where soon after arrival he was badly injured in a road accident. An arduous recovery process — along with upheaval in adapting to an unfamiliar environment — triggered an inner quest for belonging and identity redefinition.
Over several years Marinos routinely wandered through the park terrain, observing its nuances and dreamlike setting while interacting with strangers and all living things. In portraits he glimpses reflections of himself, where echoes of his own struggles are in dialogue with the tangled, evolving landscape.
Strawberry Blue feels out of kilter at times, like laughing while crying. It’s about resilience, persistence and growing new roots… We are invited on this journey with minds open to the unknown, allowing the path ahead to lead us where it will.

Beyond excited to have received delivery of our new book SOUND THE SIRENS by @bryananselm 😍
Folded between the Japanese (aka French) folded book pages, underlying images of solar flares radiate with orange hues. This design experience is a reminder of the driving forces behind climate disaster, with pictures of devastation tinged with the glow of ever-growing heat.
We look forward to sharing this book with you in person at upcoming fairs! Now available to order at overlapse.com

Focusing on the impact of climate disasters across the US over the last 10 years, SOUND THE SIRENS presents a strong look at the damage caused to communities. Through loss of life, property, and compounding economic destruction, these disasters increase their toll and can displace tens or even hundreds of thousands of people across the country. It is unknown whether affected communities will continue to rebuild with an outlook of uncertainty, or if the worst affected regions of the country will be forgotten.
BRYAN ANSELM has been covering long-term effects of climate change on communities throughout the U.S. for more than a decade. He is a contributor to The New York Times, The New Yorker Magazine and TIME Magazine, among others.

Hello again from @overlapse - here to continue our @BOP_bristol takeover. As we prepare for the festival, we’re sharing some lovely images by @oscar_j_dooley of other titles we’ll have with us, including some final copies ✨
1-2
In Meat, Fish & Aubergine Caviar by @alexblancofoto , her intimate work reflects on Ukrainian and Odesan culture through the prism of food and family, as she reconnects with her parents during her father’s recovery from an illness. With a vibrant orchestra of photographs made in Odessa's outdoor food markets, of colourful vegetables and table settings, we are drawn into the family home where humour and performance lighten the mood around the table. The book features three favourite recipes as told to Alex by her mum Yevheniia 🥩🐟🍆
3-4
In Desire Lines by @lara.shipley , her work looks at migration as an inherently human act – one that has defined human history and the geopolitical framework of our planet. Mixing time and perspective, Desire Lines follow old and new movements through the desert landscape of the Sonoran borderlands of the United States and Mexico: paths taken by migrants and border agents, of missionaries and conquistadors, of indigenous people and industrialists. Readers are pulled into the viewpoint of migrants crossing this deadly desert terrain with the hope of entering the US, and observe how the messy and at times violent collision of peoples has created a region that defies the harmfully simplistic narratives so frequently attributed to our borders 👣🏜️
5
We also have two copies of FASTIDIOSA by @caimipiccinni with a dramatic mix of black and white analogue portraits, landscapes, and colour images of scientific research. This extraordinary book documents the plight of local olive grove farmers through environmental devastation in Puglia over a period of more than six years, with an unfiltered, personal, and intense account of Xylella, the plant epidemic that threatens Europe 🫒🔥
Please drop by to visit our table at BOP to see these works in person! We look forward to seeing you there 📚

Hello to All from LDN, it’s Tiffany from @overlapse back again for this @BOP_bristol takeover.
Yesterday we shared our upcoming title Sound the Sirens and will have first copies at the festival. For BOP last year, we had first copies of Thinking Like an Island which many of you came around to see - thank you!! Sharing it was an emotional experience all around, as we all discovered the book for the first time together!
Now in its second printing (with silver foil on the cover), Thinking Like an Island features @camillamarrese and @gabrielechiapparini ’s exploratory images as they navigate the treacherous land and seascapes of a small, but half-mile high, island.
Along with captivating landscapes the book shares portraits of the few residents that live on the remote island, quotes from their stories about daily life, and the photographers’ own diary extracts. The amalgamation is a poetic, philosophical dialogue about comprehending the wider world through the perspective of a solitary microcosm. Identity construction; clash and coexistence, choice and confinement, innovation and resistance. The experience is stratified, plural and dense; a vertigo of increasing complexity.
The book design, made across four books that open into expanded spreads, was imagined to place the viewer at the centre of an unfolding 360-degree horizon, to engage a journey of discovery as the sequence unravels into a multitude of possibilities. If you’ve read this far and want to know a ‘secret’ - just a few days ago we discovered the calculation of potential viewable spreads to be (on or around) 614,656 🌟 - all bound into a 17x22 cm book form! 🙌
What an adventure it’s been to share this work with those who come round to visit at the fairs! Exactly the reason we are returning to BOP this year, to unite once again with fellow photobook junkies 💞💕
Hope to see you at Paintworks Event Space @martinparrfdn in Bristol in a few weeks!

Greetings all, this is Tiffany from @overlapse taking over the @bop_bristol account over the coming days, showcasing some book works in the lead-up to the festival 11-12 October! 📚

We’re delighted to announce we’ll have fresh copies of our upcoming title SOUND THE SIRENS by NY based photographer @bryananselm in Bristol! Sound the Sirens is the culmination of over 10 years of photographic work encompassing the long-term effects that multiple climate disasters have had on communities across the United States, with tens of thousands of people left homeless and displaced while trying to rebuild their lives. Despite decades of warnings by climate scientists about the impact of rising temperatures on the stability of our planet, climate data is broadly ignored in the service of capital and convenience, while risking the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
Peering between the Japanese folded pages, the book features underlying images of solar flares leaking out, their orange hues lighting the page edges. This design experience acts as a reminder of the driving forces behind climate disasters, with each picture of devastation tinged with the glow of ever-growing heat 🔥
We’re excited for you to have a first look at Sound the Sirens at this year’s festival and hope to see you there! If not, you can find the pre-order open now at Overlapse.com

This design experience acts as a reminder of the driving forces behind climate disasters, with each picture of devastation tinged with the glow of ever-growing heat 🔥

L’ingresso a Photobook Mania è gratuito. Vieni a sfogliare il libro e a fare due chiacchiere con gli autori. Ci vediamo Giovedì ❤️

This Thursday 19 December 18:30 🗻 Photobook Mania #06 with Camilla Marrese and Gabriele Chiapparini.
Published by Overlapse, Thinking Like an Island reflects on the concept of the island, aiming to transcend the stereotypical, polarizing narratives that have long accompanied it. Through diary entries, quotes from the island’s inhabitants, and exploratory images, the book shows the island as a stratified, plural reality, a vertigo of increasing complexity.
As our economic and social systems prove less sustainable, Gabriele Chiapparini and Camilla Marrese ask if the island could represent an alternative, a friction in the way we think of reality.
Admission to Photobook Mania is free. Come grab your copy of the book and have a chat with the authors. See you on Thursday ❤️

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
