This Saturday is finally here! BARRIO SONORO: A Global Sound Exploration in Berlin 🪘✨

Barrio Sonoro is a new concert series in Berlin that seeks to explore and showcase the rich legacy of global popular music. This season offers an in-depth look at the musical heritage of regions such as Brazil, Latin America, the Caribbean, Southern Africa, Cape Verde, the Mediterranean & Bulgaria.

🪘Pane Basa + Dudú Kouate

The Pane Basa music consists of layers of mbira lines and tightly woven cello melodies, punctuated by percussive grooves, poems, songs and electronic effects.

The band draws inspiration from the traditional and contemporary musics from Zimbabwe, South Africa and other neighbouring countries as well as classical, minimal and electronic impulses from their vibrant home base of Berlin.

They will have the pleasure to share the stage with percussionist maestro @dudukouate for this unique evening not to be missed.

🎼 Feu Marinho Quintet

Feu Marinho is a Brazilian singer known for his blends of Brazil, Jazz and Eastern Music within compositions that reflect several landscapes of existence.

Feu has made appearances in the international roads having performed and touring Europe, Asia and Africa and collaborating with several names as Jacob Collier, Daniel Harlev, Itay Spiegel and A Panda do Sol.

The music Pane Basa consists of layers of mbira lines and tightly woven cello melodies, punctuated by percussive grooves, poems, songs and electronic effects. These elements are smoothly blended to create a fresh new sound.

The band draws inspiration from the traditional and contemporary musics from Zimbabwe, South Africa and other neighbouring countries as well as classical, minimal and electronic impulses from their vibrant home base of Berlin. Their compositions take you on a journey through forgotten dreamscapes, making you want to dance, daydream, reflect and get lost in their groovy melodies.
