A recap from last month’s premiere of “The Stargate” in Los Angeles, CA at @braindeadstudiosfairfax. A night we will never forget, thank you all for attending.
Recap video by: @vcordero6

The spaceship cockpit was the last major scene we shot for @bloodincantationofficial ‘s The Stargate. We had the seat (a cheap gaming chair for racing rigs) and a small part of the frame in place earlier, but only had about one week to construct the main structure and walls, and all the details before shooting.
I’ve never built anything like this and initially tried to construct it with 5/8th steel piping which turned out to be a huge mistake.@mindytheninja and I did about half a dozen Home Depot runs in a couple days and started sawing wood by hand, until I remembered I had a chop saw in a friends garage. Oops.
With the invaluable help of @mindytheninja, @tristanseniuk, and @voleaksip we slammed this thing together using a combination of plywood and foam panels, then just started kitbashing plumbing equipment and pipes on top of it, as well as installing a fish tank in the side window.
The main control panel is all constructed from eurorack synthesizer parts arranged with a variety of grip tools from @gforcegripsdotcom (everyone thinks that the cables the band uses to plug into the artifact are aux cables, however they are actually unbalanced eurorack cables).
The whole thing could not have come together without the immense performance from @vinnybalbo , as well as the killer makeup from @carleydoesmakeup and @sonofpumpkinhead, and prosthetic appliances from @rbfx. We shot out the entire scene in about 2.5 hrs in an incredibly cramped and hot space, but it couldn’t have been a better team to be cooped up with.
The whole scene was lit using @quasarscience double rainbows, a @rosco_labs fx projector, @creamsource vortex 4, @dedolight_california mirrors, and a green laser.

While @mindytheninja and I were crystal hunting at @spellboundsky for our artifact, and learning about the different extraterrestrial properties of various minerals, a witch’s wand in a glass case caught my eye. We asked who made it and were told we should actually reach out to her about our project.
We immediately contacted @sorceressandthestone about creating our artifact and I was incredibly stoked to find out she wanted to help. It’s always great coming across like-minded people during creative endeavors and she made something that was much more than I could have ever hoped for.
She also made the beautiful bladed serpent-wand that we used during the blood ritual.
Check out her awesome work!

Thanks to everyone that came out last night. It was awesome to have a full house. So much work went into this from a bunch of really talented people over the past four months. Thank you @braindeadstudiosfairfax for hosting the event and thanks to @centurymediarecords and @5bartistsmedia for putting this all together. And especially, thank you @bloodincantationofficial for making a completely insane record and being so down for the cause. Thank you @mindytheninja and @tristanseniuk to being truly ride or die. Looking forward to sharing this along with the full credits soon!

One more week until The Stargate’s theatrical premiere at Brain Dead…

DOUBT - MIZMOR VERSION
People that know me might think I would take any excuse to shoot icy chainmail and weaponry in the arctic, but beyond the frozen forests, there is a historical and cultural relationship between Alaska and Norway, where the Black Metal genre hails from.
Over the past few decades Black Metal has expanded its roots to many unexpected parts of the globe, evolving its representation of repressed cultures and identities, from Iran to Indigenous groups in the Americas. I’ll leave the details of all this for the reader to discover if they so choose.
The key ingredient for this element of the project was the music itself, so we enlisted @whollydoomedblackmetal to completely re-record his own version of DOUBT before heading off to the North to film. I couldn’t be more stoked about how the track came out.
Thank you to @whollydoomedblackmetal for putting so much into this as well as enduring steel chainmail in -20 degree weather and still being able to shred.
Thank you to @manville for being such a badass and providing vocals and braving the harshest elements in a less than ideal wardrobe.
Thank you @ashreibcalledquest for laying down some pounding drums for the track.
Thank you @tlingit.witch teparghuq @mekegsaq for lending your own creativity to this project, and doing such awesome corpse paint, wardrobe, and set design work.
Thank you to @portugaltheman for always being open to exploring the less obvious path.
The song and video are now live on all platforms.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
