This glacier no longer exists.
At 16,000 ft in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca, I lit Pastoruri with a drone, revealing textures and forms never seen before.
Today it’s no longer technically a glacier. A glacier must accumulate new ice and move under its own weight. Pastoruri does neither, shrinking further each year.
What remains is a portrait of a place on the brink of disappearance, memorialised through the medium of photography and visual art.

From my @natgeo cover story. This timelapse video shows the process of illuminating Stonehenge using a light attached to a drone, a technique I began using in 2016 where I capture the final image using multiple exposures over the course of several hours.
Due to the monument being in military airspace, my drone pilot @zendrson had to call the Royal Airforce each time we were about to fly.
While we were making these images, something that was always very present was the sound of the traffic on the nearby A303 highway, and I was certain that passing motorists would have been alarmed to see what looked like an alien spacecraft flitting around above the 5,000 year old megalith.

In 2016 I started Lux Noctis, a body of work based on the simple idea of attaching a powerful light to a drone to illuminate remote places at night.
It changed everything, and transformed my artistic practice. The project made waves. I continued to experiment with this 'drone light’ technique, using the drone’s programmed moves which flew it in an orbit, and using it to paint a halo of light in the air during a long exposure.
The idea came to me in 2016 after an ingenious new drone named 3DR Solo pioneered these camera moves called SmartShots. However, I didn't try it out for real until late one night in 2017, deep in the Arizona wilderness.
Just for fun, I tried it around the pinnacles I was photographing, and the resulting image became my most career-defining piece, again subverting the idea of what a drone could be, not just a flying camera, but also a flying paintbrush.
I was intrigued by how these images only appeared in long exposures. I like to think that they exist on a plane of existence which is invisible to us, and only captured over the course of a few seconds with a camera.
It also inspired many to go out and create and try the technique for themselves. I was grateful to receive many messages thanking me, saying that what I’d done had rekindled their passion for photography, excited that there were still new ideas out there waiting to be discovered.
This idea, this trope, became something of a meme, propagating through art blogs, Reddit forums and social media. A new sub-genre of 'drone light painting' was born.
We’re bombarded everyday with beautiful photos of our world. I needed to go beyond that, and pose the question:
How can I change my own perception of our planet, and make it seem new and unexplored?
Many describe my work as ‘otherworldly’ but my aim ISN’T to produce alien-looking images, it’s actually to remind people that this is our own planet, and it’s all we have. #luxnoctisproject

Public speaking used to be something I avoided.
Then I decided to start saying yes.
On Saturday, 1,700 people showed up for my talk at @offfest Barcelona.
I spoke about how a visual language develops.
How obsession, accident, and detours accumulate into a way of seeing.
The largest audience I’ve ever spoken to.
I’ll share the full talk for a limited time with my email subscribers. Sign up to get access
Thank you OFFF

Valle de las Animas, La Paz, Bolivia. Around 13,000ft, maybe 20 minutes from the city centre, and almost no one here.
The bag was an incredibly comfortable camera pack prototype I was co-developing/field-testing; it held up better at altitude than I did.
If this place were in the US or Europe it would be unrecognisable. Here is an eerily silent canyon. The only traffic an occasional hiker, a few families, and their cows

🌕 I was stuck in traffic one night in the Mojave Desert when a friend texted to tell me a lunar eclipse was peaking. I waited forever for a turnoff, pulled over, and set up my camera at the side of the road. The arc is an intentional pan of my tripod, made while photographing the eclipse.
January 20, 2019. The universe doesn’t wait for a convenient moment. You fit it in where you can.

THE LIGHTS OF MONT BLANC.
At 3.466 meters, where the air is thin and time slows down, is born "The Lights of Mont Blanc": a new photographic project created with British artist Reuben Wu.
Between long nights of waiting, intense cold and absolute silence, the mountain becomes a creative space.
Light is carried by hand, in a backpack, up to the summits. Every choice is deliberate, every moment earned with patience.
Not to illuminate the mountain, but to listen to it.
In this work, Skyway Monte Bianco is not just architecture: it's an experience, a vertical observatory, a point of connection between humans and altitude.
The lights trace circles and suspended lines, cross ice and cabins, talk with granite and with the darkness that breathes among the stars.
✨ This is the beginning of a visual story.
In the coming months, one photograph at a time, we will follow Reuben Wu’s gaze through cable cars, stations and the mountains of Mont Blanc.
A vertical journey, where light becomes vision.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
