R&H is underway on the ground-up construction of a new 36,000 s.f. campus hub and residence facility. Constructed in two phases, the project includes a new two-story, 17-room residence building and campus hub featuring a dining hall, café, training facilities and lobby, serving as a central gathering place for students, staff, and guests. Phase 2 will include demolition of the existing dormitory and completion of outdoor training areas and gardens.

With construction occurring alongside GDB’s occupied campus, careful planning and coordination are key to minimizing disruption while delivering a space built for long-term impact. We can’t wait to watch this space come to life and support the incredible mission of Guide Dogs for the Blind for years to come.

Homemade butter chicken and naan were on the menu last night for R&H team members participating in this week’s Red Apron event. In a step-by-step virtual cooking class, R&H chefs crafted a flavorful butter chicken with a custom blend of spices, alongside fresh homemade naan.

As part of our Red Apron series, our wellness committee provides participants with most of the ingredients including pre-portioned spices, making it easy and fun to cook along. For many, it was their first time preparing this Indian-inspired dish and it quickly became a new R&H favorite.

Sunshine Division is shining even brighter in NW Portland after yesterday’s grand opening! R&H worked with Sunshine Division on their new 39,000 s.f. headquarters and warehouse. This facility, more than three times the size of their previous space, significantly expands Sunshine Division’s capacity to receive donations, coordinate volunteers, and serve a greater number of families. Having volunteered with Sunshine Division on many occasions, our team is honored to build out this new space for an organization with purpose and heart.

The refreshed facility now includes a food pantry, expanded warehouse space, volunteer area, administrative offices, and multiple loading docks to support efficient distribution. We’re proud to see Sunshine Division’s food bank grow and excited to highlight the impact it will have as progress unfolds.
