From "too tiny" to "just right" ✨

I had these pants sitting in my closet forever because they were a bit too tight, so I decided to perform some DIY surgery! ✂️

I transformed them into a custom top for my Pinky Lymy Mask hula hoop costume. I cropped the base into shorts, adjusted the sides for a better fit and turned the legs into sleeves. Finished it off with some gold and green fabric for the neckline and a wings effect on the back 🧚

Just another experiment in the lab!

​Every material has a previous life 🌿

​For the Wingä Locä bird, the costume started as a broken neon cycling vest. From that old fabric, I layered blue and green textiles to create the wings and feathers, giving the bird its spirit. The tail? A discarded garden hose I found outside a garden shop.

​These fragments have come together to form something entirely new. I’m so glad I didn’t throw that vest away; it was the treasure I needed all along.

​It’s amazing what you can create when you look at the world a little differently. The beauty is in the reuse ✨

This textile has traveled through time with me. It started in my old bedroom, hung like a sky above my sofa, and eventually weathered the sun and dust on my balcony to cover a bench 🌬️

March 2025, I decided its journey wasn't over. I took it to my sewing machine, cutting and stitching until it became the first dress for my first Fish Mask.

I didn't follow a strict plan - just an idea in my head that slowly turned into what it is today. It’s just a creation, born from layers of history 🐟✂️

This is "Pinky Lumy - The Lost Fish" a handmade papier-mâché mask I created for a hula hoop show. I chose to re-craft this character because, in many ways, we are all "lost fish" searching for a better, kinder world 🌊✨

💥 Wingä Locä: From Trash to Treasure ✨

This is the Wingä Locä mask - a helmet-based structure designed for maximum visual impact and easy wear!

Built from a mix of paper maché and cardboard, the mask sits comfortably atop my head. The towering crest is dressed in blue and green fabrics.

Fun facts about the materials:

The Power: That vivid orange piece? It's actually a broken cycling vest that I purchased years ago at a flea market.

The Glare: The creepy, glittering eyes are made from laundry detergent and glitter. And the blue around the eyes? It looks like she is wearing a mask too, don't you think? I do! 👀

Gold is an essential element that must always appear in my mask designs.

I love turning discarded objects into something fierce and imaginative.
