From helicoptering bighorn sheep in the Nevada desert, to fighting urban highways in Buffalo, NY, to digitizing ancient redwood forests in Northern California, HUMBOLDT USA is a fraught love letter to an ambiguous historical figure and to everyday Americans who have humbly tasked themselves with understanding and responding to their rapidly changing environments.

The big news from last week is that JANE ELLIOTT AGAINST THE WORLD is premiering at the 2026 #SundanceFilmFestival!

It was a true pleasure to work with the @flatbushpictures team again on this documentary. I started out with them as an additional operator on 2016’s Keepers of the Game, and here we are a decade later. Thanks to director @juddehrlich and co-DP @peter_bunnz for the opportunity to grow as a cinematographer.
