I’m so excited to share this amazing project with some of the coolest people in the outdoor industry space❄️✨🤍 @sofia_jaramillo5 brought together a great team of people that are taking up space in an environment that isn’t always diverse. Whenever I go snowboarding, it isn’t common to see very many people of color. It’s a privilege to get to snowboard and ski knowing that it’s a sport that isn’t always accessible for everyone.
My mom would take us to the mountains on her own rather than spending a lot of $ for lift tickets, gear, etc. She taught my older brother to snowboard at a young age and went on to teach my younger brother and I. Now, I have taught countless people how to snowboard and introducing a snow sport as a healthy way to get through the dark cold winters in Alaska. It is an honor to be a part of an evolving industry with people who are breaking barriers and making a difference wherever their paths may take them. Being in community with everyone involved in this project left me inspired and hopeful✨🤍🪶
Fun fact: the snow gear, clothing, and snowboard used for these images are vintage pieces that were loaned by a museum. It was such a treat to be wearing history.
The Wolf fur gloves were also loaned by @gen_n_juus 🐺✨
Celebrate the opening of Sofía Jaramillo: A New Winter at @ochigallery in Sun Valley, Idaho on Wednesday, March 19th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Following Jaramillo’s 5:30 PM talk at @thecommunitylibraryketchum, eight images from the series will be on view at the gallery through May 2nd.

Growing up in Idaho, I always heard stories about this river but never got the chance to raft it. Last summer, I finally did and understood why it’s so special. The Middle Fork of the Salmon River flows through the largest contiguous wilderness area in the lower 48. It’s remote, wild, and completely off-grid—no roads, no service, only accessible by plane. We saw bighorn sheep, river otters, and endless miles of untouched forest.
The trip was an invitation to slow down, surrender to the flow, and escape the noise of modern life. What made it even more meaningful? I got to share it with my mom. 💛 @wallisreid and I wrote about the experience in two blogs, and I created a short film—coming soon to the Visit Idaho website. Check the link in my bio to read our first blog!

I’ve been waiting to share this book for quite some time, and I’m so excited to finally see it out in the world! Lately I’ve been trying to celebrate the moments that Little Me would be so proud and this is definitely one of them 🥹 Little Sof would be freaking out!

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to photograph for @natgeo ‘s new edition of the Ultimate Guide to The National Parks. My editors sent me to three incredible national parks—some well known and some off the beaten path and I poured my whole heart into the work.

Fast forward to now… and I still can’t believe this part: my images were chosen for both the foreword and the back cover! Truly wow.

Huge gratitude to my amazing assistant at the time @conorcourtney and to the Nat Geo editors who brought this beautiful book together so thoughtfully. Feeling very proud, very grateful, and heart is very full receiving this in the mail today✨

Look ma! A New Winter is all over the NYC subway for the Winter Olympics! It’ll be at over 400 stops for the next 3 weeks!

Inspired by a historic photograph of the 1948 U.S. Women’s Olympic Ski Team, this piece called A New Team (2024), is dedicated to Seba Johnson, who in 1988 became the first Black woman to ski in the Olympic Games—and at 14, the youngest alpine skier in Olympic history. A New Team features Emilé Zynobia, Autumn Kitchens, Farmata Dia, and Yasmeen “Yaz” Wilkerson-each breaking barriers in their own outdoor fields and shaping a more inclusive future across snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding. Shot near the Roundhouse Lodge in Sun Valley, Idaho, the work honors both history and the generations pushing it forward today.

I’ve always said I wanted to bring A New Winter to New York and now it’s in and around the subway! Still in shock and still so excited! I so wish I could be there to see it in person, but I’ve really been enjoying receiving photos and videos from friends in NY who see them in the subway.

It’s especially cool that this image is up in NYC because three of the models in the photo @farmy_@yaz.so.mean @_autumnkitchens live there and they finally get to see themselves in a live install of the project!

Thank you @gilmancontemporary for making this happen and @artsy for putting this Winter Olympics campaign together. It’s such an honor to share the work in this way, especially this image at this time.

Thanks to @dagboh who went out and snapped some professional photos for me and all the other friends who have sent pix from different stations. If you’re in NYC and ride the subway, keep an eye out and send me what you see!

This past weekend, A New Winter debuted at the Boise Art Museum- the very first art museum I ever went to as a kid. To now see my work on those walls, at the museum that first sparked my love for art, feels incredibly full circle. My little artist self is jumping up and down inside. So many will get to see the work. It’s the largest museum I’ve show at yet with around 40,000 visitors per year.

AND in a moment when art institutions across the country are facing censorship, when work that highlights history and culture is being removed, the Boise Art Museum chose to show this work and two other artists of color. That matters. 🤍

Endlessly grateful to the BAM team, to @cecirichardson for her beautiful work, to everyone from different chapters of my life who showed up and to my team who helped make it all happen.

A New Winter will be up through September 2026 if you find yourself in Boise. Photos by @acanc1

The dust has settled on the @keen x @protectourwinters campaign, and it’s amazing to see how far the images went across web, product pages, and socials. Thanks again to the team for helping make this magic.

We’re excited to share that Gilman Contemporary is now collaborating with Sofia Jaramillo, and today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone in her career as an artist: her upcoming exhibition at the Boise Art Museum opening January 30.

Blending storytelling with portraiture, Jaramillo’s work embraces photography’s power to reveal truth and spark change. Her images, captured on skis, gathered around food and drinks, or soaking in Sun Valley’s bright winter light, radiate joy, pride, and strength in the nostalgic world of après-ski.

By creating the representations she longed to see growing up, A New Winter opens a conversation about the origins of winter sports culture and imagines a more expansive, inclusive future—one that celebrates the richness of everyone who shapes it.

We’re honored to welcome her to Gilman Contemporary.

More Italy moments, where the light lingered, the shadows told stories, and time moved slower. Take me back.

I’ve never seen water sparkle the way it did in the Mediterranean, like the sea was wearing jewelry, with little diamonds catching the sun. I don’t know if it was the way the light hit the water, its calm state, the distinct color, or the spell Italy casts the moment you arrive… but it felt like the perfect metaphor for the whole trip. Soft, unexpected, and sprinkled with little moments of magic. Some slides from a solo adventure hiking along the Italian coast.

When I was little, my mom used to take me to the Boise Art Museum. We’d wander through the exhibitions together, and I remember feeling something awaken, a sense that art was a language I wanted to speak, even before I knew how. It took awhile to understand it and my find my voice, but here I am. Those early visits planted the seed for everything I’m doing now.

So to share that A New Winter will be exhibited at BAM is one of those surreal, full circle moments that makes me pause. A project born from my own experience, from growing up in Idaho between two worlds of culture, where I didn’t always see myself fitting in, to now finding a home in the very museum where I first learned to imagine a different kind of world.

At a time when so many of us feel disconnected, the chance to gather in person and have real, conversations around art feels more important than ever.

So Idaho friends and beyond consider this your invitation: If you’ve ever wanted to see this work in person, mark your calendars, maybe even book a flight if you’re coming from afar, because I would truly love to share it with you. Join us for the opening on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the @boiseartmuseum from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

I’m deeply grateful to be part of this show, especially alongside another incredible Idaho artist, @cecirichardson , whose work showcases the beauty and importance of Idaho rivers through large-scale installations.

And I’m honored to be showing my work alongside renowned artist Jeffrey Gibson, the first Indigenous artist to represent the United States with a solo exhibition at the Venice Biennale (often called the Olympics of the art world). His work has inspired me and reshaped how so many of us think about art, visibility, and belonging, and I can’t imagine a more fitting artist for A New Winter to be in conversation with. Hope you can join for the opening or see it while it is up. The exhibition will end in September of 2026. #contemporaryarts #vintageski #vintage #skihistory

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
