Der Musiker und Komponist Flore Laurentienne aus Québec verbindet in seiner Musik auf schönste Weise analoge Synthesizer und Streicher. Seine Inspiration gewinnt er einerseits aus der Landschaft um seiner Heimatstadt, anderseits aus unterschiedlichsten Arten von Musik. Da trifft die melodische Klarheit von Johann Sebastian Bach auf das erzählerisch Progressive von King Crimson und den elektronischen Minimalismus von Hans-Joachim Roedelius. Ein Abend, der den Frühling noch frühlingshafter macht.

Le musicien et compositeur québécois à la tête de Flore Laurentienne marie harmonieusement synthés analogiques et cordes. Il puise son inspiration dans les paysages du territoire québécois ainsi que dans des univers musicaux contrastés : de la clarté mélodique de Jean-Sébastien Bach au prog rock narratif de King Crimson en passant par le minimalisme électronique de Hans-Joachim Roedelius. Une soirée pour faire éclore le printemps.

I’ve been painting for a while now, and more recently I’ve found myself drawn to watercolors. There’s something almost magical about watching the pigment dissolve into water, creating crazy unexpected patterns. And yes, I said watching: with watercolors, you’re as much an observer as you are a painter 👁️

Working with watercolors means learning everytime to release the need to control every outcome. It’s an invitation to stay curious and follow where the paint decides to go. And I am learning to find beauty in that surrender. Looking forward to share more of this work with you! 🎨👩🏻‍🎨🖼️🌀

Wu Wei: from the Tao, it is a path, a way of being, a state of harmony and flow of life. Being fully present and responsive to the moment, without the need to control outcomes. To become like a wave in the ocean, that naturally finds its way to the beach and back again into its energy wave form. And still, being the ocean, not the wave.
