My Dearest Granny -

I hold memories close to heart from my childhood visiting you in the small town of Perdue. Sitting with you at the piano bench, teaching me “Mary Had A Little Lamb” which is still to this day the one and only song I can play on piano… All thanks to you! 

You’d let me eat Dixie Cups for breakfast and my mom always used to say she couldn’t believe how soft you were with me.

I think back on the times when you’d “out-shop” me, being willing and able to look through the entire mall & The Bay for hours on end then enjoying a well deserved meal together at the Zellers restaurant. 

I believe you are a BIG reason why fashion and beauty has always been something I’m so passionate about. Demonstrating self-love and care as a top priority - that I try my best to practice daily. 

Some of my first few pieces of makeup came from your collection of stuff you no longer wanted - and as I sit here today writing this for you, it is unlocking more memories we’ve shared that I know are key points in helping shape who I am today.

I deeply appreciate the wonderful role you play in my life, which ultimately has helped lead me to my career path of helping others feel as beautiful as they should  - inside and out. 

I got to do your makeup today, as we celebrate the ONE HUNDRED YEARS you’ve graced this earth - and what an honour that is for me! I can now see the talent, drive & love for beauty - stems from a bond and interest we’ve always shared together. 

With this, I’ll be forever grateful for the impact you have on me. THANK YOU for having the most beautiful soul, and sharing it with whoever has the pleasure of being around you.
