The concept evolved through exploring how to best bring the song’s emotions to life within the constraints of time, location, and budget.
@shawnguek dug into the lyrics and developed the whole lamp metaphor inspired by the line: “我不開燈 就能夠繼續裝盲”
(If I don’t turn on the light, I can keep pretending not to see.)
We ended up using 12 lamps that lit up at crucial moments throughout the lyrics and performance.
Most of the practical lamps were just @ikeasingapore fixtures fitted with @aputureasia bulbs, simple setup but it worked really well for the mood of the film.
Tiny crew of 4, lots of on-the-fly problem solving, and about 8 takes before we finally had to settle on the best one because it was getting way too late. 😴

We had the opportunity to work on a MV with @shermanzhuo in 2025.
The concept evolved through exploring how to best bring the song’s emotions to life within the constraints of time, location, and budget.
@shawnguek dug into the lyrics and developed the whole lamp metaphor inspired by the line: “我不開燈 就能夠繼續裝盲”
(If I don’t turn on the light, I can keep pretending not to see.)
We ended up using 12 lamps that lit up at crucial moments throughout the lyrics and performance.

Most adidas Superstar campaigns feature musicians, skaters, or athletes, but for SG60, the idea was simple: what if the Superstar was just everyday Singaporeans?
From hawker kakis and delivery riders to toy collectors (feat. Labubu), urban sketchers, business owners, and young families, this one was about the people you see every day around the island.
