We started to reconnect a few years ago.
I was honored to play that Suicide tribute show with you at the @themontybar (We covered “keep your dreams” w/ @_donzii ). So glad I got to share the stage with you that day. I meant everything to me; I had so much fun. One of those gigs “I really needed to do” as I’m terrible at covers and I wanted to get over that.
I always respected you as positive light in our little Rock and Roll scene. I just wish I told you that more.
You took the time to say hello, a quick hug maybe, a comment or two on a good song or band. That nod, those little moments- I’ll never forget.
I cried yesterday, drank wine and talked about you till the wee hours of the morning. I feel thrashed today and still can’t believe you are gone.

Happy Birthday To Me. 52. Honestly, I’m just happy to still be here. Jesus! I look back and think “shit, I should have died many times over” but I seemed to have lucked it. Grateful for all my family, friends, fans and of course my band mates. This is band page after all (I don’t have time for two accounts ok!). We are like a little family, I guess. Sometimes dysfunctional but mostly always wonderful and just the best people ever. Past and present – you know who you are. I’m so lucky to have been able to tour and play what it is some 1000-1100 shows last count. Oh -big thanks to all the people that put that together! You rock! That’s like 3 years on stage not counting rehearsals! That said, no tours anytime soon as it’s just not feasible right now. We are just going to stay local. So go to the shows! and Enjoy the music! The Warlocks cover “Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam” By The Vaselines @thevaselineslive live at Gold Diggers @golddiggersla Enjoy! I love the sound of late 1980s & early 1990s alternative rock. Bands like The Vaselines, @thefeeliesnj Television Personalities @television.personalities , @galaxie500 Nikki Sudden, Beat Happening, Felt, Replacements & Teardrop Explodes. So many great bands! A few songs on Manic Excessive was inspired by this sound. So, lo fi but so beautiful and charming. It encapsulates a time in music that was rough and around and the edges “not fiddled with” but also so innocent and beautiful at the same time. I’ve attached my playlist in the bio incase you want to go there.

We only covered a few songs in 25 years. I always felt we were just “too weird” for covers. I found them so insanely difficult to do. This one song took me weeks to memorize the words (and its easy to play!). We would often cover Spacemen 3 at practice to warm up and sometimes tossed it in end of the set in the early days of the band! Enjoy!
