Tornado Wallace is the main alias of Berlin-based producer and DJ Lewie Day, originally from Melbourne, Australia. Active since the mid-2000s, his work spans house, leftfield pop, ambient, and techno. He has released music on labels including Running Back, Optimo Music, Ghostly International, and !K7 Records.

His productions have been played by DJs as varied as Tiësto, DJ Harvey, and Andrew Weatherall. Day has also been involved in numerous other projects over the years. In 2023, he released an ambient and downtempo album as one half of a.s.o., a collaborative project that received critical acclaim. He also records under the name Lew E, creating music for bigger dancefloors inspired by ’90s club sounds.

Tornado Wallace operates with a similarly individual touch. From sunlit, slow-burn records to driving club material, his output has traced a path through labels and dancefloors worldwide without settling into one lane.

Together, and with the space of a full night, they stretch out properly. Two long-form operators given the time to let things unwind.

I’m absolutely JAZZED to introduce a new ACID HOUSE party at one of the most acidic basements in Berlin: SAMEHEADS. And I couldn’t be happier to have @ddenzeel at the inaugural edition.

While acid house is the compass point, we endeavour to play many styles, derived and inspired by ACID. I feel like that will totally ROCK in that basement, oder? No? Let’s find out together 🌝.
