The Shiny Awards return to London on 31st March 2026, hosted by VCCP Girl & Bear.

This is a major opportunity for emerging directors worldwide to showcase their work to leading production companies, agencies and brands working in advertising.

Shiny is one of the world’s leading platforms for new directors entering the commercials industry. At least 70% of the work screened at every Shiny event is by directors from under-represented demographics.

🏆 Prizes include invaluable meetings with industry leaders, career-accelerating opportunities and a place on the Shiny List.

At the climax of the UK Music Video Awsrds 2025 last night, Gabriel Moses came on stage to accept the Best Director award for his body of work in past year, including videos for Travis Scott and Clipse - accompanied by his very proud mum, Grace.

At the climax of the UK Music Video Awsrds 2025 last night, Gabriel Moses came on stage to accept the Best Director award for his body of work in past year, including videos for Travis Scott and Clipse - accompanied by his very proud mum, Grace.

It was special moment at the end of a memorable evening. A two hour thrill ride - expertly helmed by host @msanamatronic - through more than 40 awards. And by the end, a video that had been shelved for two years - A$AP Rocky’s Tailor Swif - had won 5 awards including Video Of The Year. And two of Jordan Hemingway’s videos for FKA twigs had also won four, including three for Eusexua.

Object & Animal had won the @kodak - sponsored Best Production Company prize, Luna Carmoon had won Best New Director - and Chris Murdoch had won Best Producer.

Damian Kulash of OK Go accepted The Icon Award with the message ‘long live music videos’ and the UKMVAs bestowed its first Legend Award to honour the memory of the late Diane Martel, accepted by Juliette Larthe and Lee Fairweather.

That remains true today, as a new wave of extraordinary talent is rising. With the right support, the UK can attract major investment and strengthen its legacy as a global hub for world-class visual culture.

As with film, TV, and video games, tax incentives have been proven to attract investment and cement the UK’s status as a world leader in creative production. A similar credit for music videos would boost production levels, raise quality, and nurture the next generation of talent.
