The view from inside Integrity as recovery forces pop open the hatch…watching the helicopter pass over their shoulders and hearing all the joy, it was as good as it gets.

The foundation of our warfighters' strength is built at home.
On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we thank our military spouses for the sacrifices they make each day.

At the heart of America’s story is the sea. From the Continental Navy to today’s global force, the Navy’s story is America’s story.
As we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary, we're launching our "13 Colonies" series to highlight the contributions of the states that started it all.
This week, we’re in Connecticut! From Commodore Isaac Hull leading USS Constitution to victory in the War of 1812, to the Silent Service's specialized training at the Naval Submarine School, Connecticut’s contributions to our naval legacy are innumerable.

Remember who you are, Sailor.
Confidence, competence, and character.
Own it.
My time spent aboard USS Bainbridge this past week reinforced why the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer continues to be the workhorse of our Fleet.
Today, we funded two more DDG 51 Flight III class ships.
From the Great White Fleet to the Golden Fleet, our Navy has maintained maritime dominance. With today's action, our shipbuilders will soon be at work delivering more of these lethal warfighting platforms. Let's go!

I recently returned from a visit to the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group for one reason: to personally thank America’s sons and daughters for completing a long, demanding deployment—from the High North to combat operations in South America and the Middle East.
Our @usnavy and @marines showed both allies and adversaries the grit and resilience that have defined the United States for 250 years.
I couldn’t be more proud to call these men and women my shipmates. They’ve taken care of us—now it’s our turn to take care of them.
