Traveling into the deep Amazon jungle in Ecuador… to the mountains of Bhutan and the deserts of Botswana I was alongside my guy @WillSmith as he tackled some of life’s biggest questions. I was in awe everyday ofWill& his team, the remarkable A1 crew, production and security teams.

Every -single- day on this project was a dream come true as a photographer and human -but that didn’t make them easy days. Physically and mentally challenging days…scary, exhilarating, beautiful, wild, unbelievable, enlightening… life -changing days. Im definitely a different person & photographer after this experience.

The friendships made were the icing on this cake, some of the best ppl I’ve ever met. Thank you for trusting me, I’m grateful and inspired by all you legends.

After almost 4yrs and finally seeing the finished show, I’m reminded of the tremendous honor it was to contribute images to this colossal project -What a ride!

Words like “icon” and “legend” get thrown around a lot.

All I’ll say, as someone who’s spent a not-insignificant amount of time in @willsmith’s company, is that he is as courageous, curious, funny and generous as you’d hope him to be - on camera and off. Reliving some of the gnarly moments we shared in Antarctica honestly just made me smile.

The way people have embraced #PoleToPole - the reviews, the messages, the families watching together around the world - is a testament to the man himself, and to the brilliant teams at @natgeo, @disneyplus and @nutopiatv who built this magnificent series around him.

Whatever comes next, working on this project will always be one of the great privileges of my professional and personal life. ❤️

Standing in Dubai’s Sustainable City flanked by a *massive* poster for Pole to Pole with Will Smith, waiting for the screening to start - and honestly, I was nervous as hell. Trying to breathe this moment.

I’m a mixed heritage guy that lost my way through my forced retirement from rugby. With the love of my family and friends I rebuilt my life in the cold. At times I’ve doubted my choices, doubted if I belong, doubted if it was going to work.

To be here now, as part of this incredible Nat Geo and Disney team led by Will, playing my part in a show that has the power to inspire a new generation of climate and planet guardians. Through humour, vulnerability, science and breathtaking cinematography.

It feels huge. Bigger than me.

I’m excited, proud, scared, grateful - all at once.
