With Homestead Season 2 underway, it felt like a good time to share more selected frames from Season 1.
Ep.4 : That Which Death Carves Away

Shoutout to Stunt Coordinators Doug Coleman,@chrisreidnthings, and SFX Team, RoundyFX @ryan_roundy for making Ep 4 so much fun to shoot.
One of my bigger challenges was to figure out how to make shooting at high noon in the summertime feel right for the story while also feeling cinematic. I played those specific scenes warmer in camera, implemented as much depth as possible, and shot with a 230p Arri Impression filter. Ultimately I leaned into what nature was already giving, which was heat and that seemed to line up well with the overall look for the series. The Summer days in Utah were scorching, but I feel like we still managed to capture some pretty cool scenes. Ep 4 is currently streaming on Angel’s platform.
