It has been a total euphoria to have realised the new piece. I was having to manage extreme nerves and anxiety going into the making process, firstly because due to a bizarre abundance of difficult life events in the last five years it was my first new performance work since 2020, so I felt a little rusty. But mainly there was a lot of pressure resting on the new work going well (by which I mean me liking the resulting work) because I will be taking the piece to three other venues around Europe in the next three months.
