Depuis 2003, ACT offre une plateforme aux étudiant·e·s en art des hautes écoles suisses pour la réalisation de projets performatifs. Chaque année, le festival parcourt la Suisse en faisant halte dans différentes villes. Les manifestations du festival sont conçues comme un laboratoire ouvert pour l’expérimentation de projets performatifs et de stratégies artistiques.

RED HEARTS is a durational performance exploring the shifting states of connection and separation through movement and fabric. Performers continuously wrap and unwrap themselves or each other, revealing the complex tension between openness and closure in human relationships.

The work unfolds without a fixed beginning or end, forming an evolving landscape where the fabric becomes both bridge and barrier—an instrument of care and control, attraction and resistance.

The heart, central to the piece, embodies continual opening and closing, reaching out and retreating—personal, relational, communal, and universal. Through these shifting states, RED HEARTS turns movement into a visceral dialogue on vulnerability, power, and connection.

RED HEARTS is a durational performance exploring the shifting states of connection and separation through movement and fabric. Performers continuously wrap and unwrap themselves or each other, revealing the complex tension between openness and closure in human relationships.

The work unfolds without a fixed beginning or end, forming an evolving landscape where the fabric becomes both bridge and barrier—an instrument of care and control, attraction and resistance.

The heart, central to the piece, embodies continual opening and closing, reaching out and retreating—personal, relational, communal, and universal. Through these shifting states, RED HEARTS turns movement into a visceral dialogue on vulnerability, power, and connection.

Every spring, students from Kunsthochschulen all over Switzerland come together in different cities to create performative projects. Strategic development of the artistic output, stage experience and creative exchange among each other are actively encouraged. The first Saturday at aua 2025 will be long and wide with ACT, with performances taking place from early until late. That will be followed by a club night, in a collaboration of ACT x intra x aua, it will remain performative throughout the night!

Depuis 2003, ACT offre une plateforme aux étudiantes et étudiants en art des hautes écoles suisses pour la réalisation de projets performatifs. Chaque année, le festival parcourt la Suisse en faisant halte dans différentes villes. Les manifestations du festival sont conçues comme un laboratoire ouvert pour l’expérimentation de projets performatifs et de stratégies artistiques.

ACT has been offering a platform for art students at Swiss universities to realize performative projects since 2003. Every year, the festival tours throughout Switzerland, stopping in various cities. The festival events can be considered as an open laboratory for testing out performative projects and artistic strategies.
