Being really influenced by these nostalgic places in my childhood (namely these “obsolete” old malls in Singapore, around the Bukit Timah area where I reside), I tried to conjure up that warm feeling by shooting 16mm film for “Aku Cemas” – which in itself has a lot of themes about anxiety and capitalism. Mixing the Bolex with digital formats like Alexa LF and FX3 was an interesting but necessary hybrid; synced sound doesn’t work with Bolex, plus we needed agility for our 5-location, single day shoot.
I’m beyond stoked to work on this, a real breath of fresh air after directing endless commercial projects focused on slick consumer driven capitalism. In a way I, too, was struggling with the thematics of the song and this was just so meaningful to be able to get into a passion project. Huge huge thanks to @bensiow for coming in clutch with tremendous support and generosity; you sir are truly a credit to indie filmmaking.

Being really influenced by these nostalgic places in my childhood (namely these “obsolete” old malls in Singapore, around the Bukit Timah area where I reside), I tried to conjure up that warm feeling by shooting 16mm film for “Aku Cemas” – which in itself has a lot of themes about anxiety and capitalism. Mixing the Bolex with digital formats like Alexa LF and FX3 was an interesting but necessary hybrid; synced sound doesn’t work with Bolex, plus we needed agility for our 5-location, single day shoot.
I’m beyond stoked to work on this, a real breath of fresh air after directing endless commercial projects focused on slick consumer driven capitalism. In a way I, too, was struggling with the thematics of the song and this was just so meaningful to be able to get into a passion project. Huge huge thanks to @bensiow for coming in clutch with tremendous support and generosity; you sir are truly a credit to indie filmmaking.

This was a small, really meaningful, pro-bono project with something dear to my heart – local music – and boy was I glad to direct it. The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media.
