The Do Book Company
📚 Books to inspire action and positive change | Do Lectures speakers | Est. 2013 | New: Do Blue 🌊 Do Loss🌈 Do Curate 🌼

👋 A brief intro for those of you new to Do Books. We’re an independent publishing company based in Hackney, east London and have been going for just over 10 years.
📚
We publish a collection of concise guides designed to inspire action and positive change across business, wellbeing, design and sustainable living. The books focus on the ‘doing’ not the background theory. So once you’ve finished reading, you can start doing.
🏃🏽♀️
Each book in the collection is written by an individual who has spoken @thedolectures or run a Do Workshop. ‘Do’ is a small magical event held on a family farm in west Wales. Over 4 days it brings together 20 of the world’s doers, change makers and pioneers to share their story and inspire the rest of us to go and Do.
💫
For each book sold we pay two royalties: one to the author and another to the Do Lectures, to help them achieve their aim of creating positive change.
🙌
We’re fortunate to work with the inimitable @jamesvictore who creates our book covers - mini works of art! We print on Munken, an FSC-certified paper - the mark of responsible forestry. And each book is printed in colour, not B&W, so expect to see original photography and illustrations inside.
👨🏻🎨
You can now find Do Books in print, digital and audio formats in different countries and languages around the world.
🌎
We want every book we bring into the world to make a positive contribution. Whether that’s learning how to use your breath to reduce stress, how to build a purpose-led business, be a better leader, or design more beautiful products and services; or live more sustainably by growing your own veg, making ferments or a loaf of sourdough from scratch. We want the books to be useful, inspiring and genuinely help you, the reader, to get from where you are…to where you want to be.
➡️
We believe that the right book in the hands of the right person at the right time can be life changing. So, what would you like to Do next?
📚😊

Cornwall: took #DoBlue to the coast yesterday for the last leg of our mini tour! 📚🌊
Thanks to @falmouthbookseller and everyone who came along, esp @thegailmuller for hosting a brilliantconversation with Nick and Abby. And to Chris Hines, co-founder of @surfersagainstsewage and one of the book’s contributors, who shared some of his story and the ongoing fight against water companies polluting our waterways. Watch Ch4’s Dirty Business if you haven’t already!
A quick visit to @nationalmaritimemuseumcornwall before it closed. Four mins wasn’t long enough to see the Surf exhibition but great to spot the books in the shop! Esp #DoMake alongside @sambleakley1’s Mindfulness and Surfing, and #DoSeaSalt.

It was a thunderstorm a week ago.
It will be an ocean soon enough’

Great to see the books @positive_retail today and meet store manager Lizzie!
Positive Retail is flipping the script on fashion. They partner with credible brands to give surplus stock a second life in their stores:
“In our world, surplus is celebrated, not hidden. Quality is respected. The human and environmental cost is acknowledged, not ignored. We believe retail can be joyful, stylish, and sustainable. We’re not here to sell fast fashion for less - we’re here to do fashion better. People, planet and purpose are baked into every decision we make. This is retail with its values intact. Welcome to the resistance.”
Honoured to have Do Books as part of their offering as they bring a new concept and customer experience to the high streets in Margate, St Leonards, Faversham, Deal, and our local Dalston.📚💛 Thanks to Sophie @yodomo.co for last pic!

Happy publication day to @wavemakernick and @abbycornwall — #DoBlue: Water, waves and wellbeing is officially out today!! 📚🌊💫
From early chats @thedolectures (last pic) to both coming up with the exact same title, working out how to distill such a vast topic into 20k words and bringing in other inspiring voices, Do Blue is finally out in the world! Hats off to Abby and Nick for doing such an incredible job and making the book interesting, insightful, moving and entertaining.
As Abby says, ‘It’s our love letter to water: how it heals, inspires and connects us — wherever we live and however water confident we are. It brings together the science of blue health, practical tips on how we can all tap into it, and tells incredible tales of those whose lives have been transformed by it.’
Proud and excited to have this one as part of the collection and can’t wait to hear what you all think! We’ve got a small run of events next week (head to Events in bio) where Nick and Abby will be talking more about the book so hope to see some of you there! 📚🥂
Do/ Blue: Water, waves and wellbeing is available now in bookshops and on our website. Thanks as ever to Wilf our designer, Fiona @smithandbaxter and @jamesvictore for the cover artwork and @jonathancherry for pebble pic. Swipe along for a look inside! 💙🩵💙

Do/ Blue 💙 Great to see Nick @wavemakernick splashed across the pages of yesterday’s @thetimes!
Here and in the book Nick and co-author @abbycornwall share deeply personal and inspiring stories around ‘blue health’, the idea that being in, on or near water is beneficial to wellbeing. As @damianwhitworth_times writes ‘the book draws on research into the benefits of being by water, including how it activates our parasympathetic nervous systems (the rest and digest part of the nervous system) whether we are walking alongside a river or kayaking on a lake, snorkeling in the sea or just looking at it.’
Do Blue: Water, waves and wellbeing by Nick Hounsfield & Abby Richardson is available now from all bookshops ahead of publication on 16th April. Thanks to Fiona @smithandbaxter for helping with press coverage! 📚🌊💫

A trip to Amsterdam! ⚓️🌷🚲
Last week we took the Eurostar to Amsterdam for a couple of days to celebrate the release of #DoLoss by @sue.deagle. A few highlights:
1, Visiting longtime stockist @miscstore.ams who had the books displayed so beautifully it was quite overwhelming! (as was matching the exterior)
2, A delicious lunch @toscaninirestaurant
3, Sue’s event @theamericanbookcenter with Hannah @storyhouseworks. A great bookshop over 3 floors with wonderful staff - and a few familiar faces!
4, A second event with Sue and Hannah this time at Amsterdam Public Library @obamsterdam
5, Everywhere seemed to be a 20 min walk so obviously had a few coffee stops ☕️
Thanks to @jessfry90 for coming along and helping organise and @sue.deagle for being such a pro and still making it to London afterwards! 📚💫

Sharing this on Mother’s Day in the uk feels fitting.
Everyone experiences loss of some kind in their lives and @sue.deagle speaks about it like no other.
Her book came out this week and you can listen to this episode on my Dysfunctional podcast now.
@dobookco

Happy publication day @sue.deagle!! 📚🥳
We’re delighted that ‘Do Loss: A new way to move through change’ is out in the wild from today!
A wonderful addition to the collection, Sue’s book provides a pathway through all forms of loss — a job or career, marriage or relationships, empty nesting, our health, identity, the sad loss of a loved one — towards a different kind of great. And it has been an absolute pleasure to work with Sue to bring this, her first published book, to life.
‘A true companion and encouraging playbook for anyone who has experienced loss, in any form. By providing concrete tools like actionable hope, how to say yes when you feel like saying no, and crafting a ‘list of regulators’, Sue paves a way forward and helps the reader to shift their mindset. A must read for all human beings!’ — Hannah Huber, @storyhouseworks
‘This book helps us get better at loss. Not by avoidance but by changing the narrative, developing skills and consoling others’ — @josh_ffw
Available now on our website and from all bookshops!
£10.99 / $15.95

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
Enter a public username to view or download stories. The service generates direct links for saving content locally.
