to say that i had the time of my life is an understatement.

i was 12 years old when i saw my first wong fu production. agents of secret stuff. that was the birth of a dream.

from middle school through high school and into college, so many people in different seasons of my life knew of this wildly specific (borderline absurd) dream i had. to work adjacently with this community of storytellers.

somehow, with insane luck, i got to live it, and go on the most wild ride.

having to say goodbye to this chapter of my life is incredibly difficult. however, the hardest part is knowing i won't get to regularly experience this kind, generous, beautiful group of souls i got to call home these past couple years.

it hurts knowing that my lunch table will feel more empty around 1pm.
knowing that our life updates will mostly come from the other side of a story post.
knowing that our 'see you tomorrow's will turn into 'see you later's.

these were the good ol' days i'll look back on. we were just a bunch of friends, exercising our inner child to dress up and play make-believe. for this period of time where our lives converged on a daily basis, i'll forever be grateful.

these are hard times. but i still have hope. hope for the legacy of wong fu to continuely grow and impact future generations of filmmakers. hope for this industry to tell worthwhile and meaningful stories. hope for each of these wonderful people to achieve what they dream.

so thank you wong fu productions. for providing me with a place to play, for giving me a family i'll cherish forever, and for proving that all dreams, no matter how impossible they feel, actually can be achieved.

you can take that dreaming kid out of wong fu, but you can't take wong fu, out of that dreaming kid. after all, it is wong fu for lyfe ❤️
