Here's a really fun project I got to DP for @adobe! Our producer/director/talent @gkohfilms and co-director @chris.vergara didn't have to really sell me on anything to join this project, they are amazing humans with crazy energy, work ethic and this massive creative vision. I felt especially lucky to have the opportunity to work along side them and this amazing team of creatives.

I'm also a HUGE fan of fight choreography, so this was a dream. Our action Designer @zhang_films killed it.

Excited to finally share this new reel.

It’s been a minute since the last one. it exists only because of the projects and people who made it possible. Every frame here is the result of collaboration from directors, producers, crew, and friends who trusted the process and brought their best. Thank you for making the work what it is.

Looking ahead, a few guiding goals are shaping the next chapter:

- Teaching. I spent years coaching sports alongside shooting, and while I don’t coach these days, I still love helping others see their potential and climb toward it. Im pushing for opportunities to speak, teach, and share knowledge in the coming years

- Community. Connection with other people drives everything. This past year brought incredible people who pushed things personally and creatively; each new relationship has been a two-way street of collaboration to build each other up. The goal is to deepen those roots and create with even more of that energy.

Growth. Stepping outside the comfort zone has led to learning new tools, meeting new people, and overcoming past challenges. It’s a mindset that has served well in both projects and life, and the goal is to keep pushing to turn new challenges into growth.

I was the DP for an ad for Cashapp featuring the "Angel Reese Machine", this 7-foot tall giveaway machine appeared on the streets of Chicago, giving away prizes. It was a great team effort, and this ad was one of three cash app content pieces I contributed to.

I shot this music video a few months back - I’m glad I’m finally getting around to posting it. This time around i did some experimenting with the color to see how many alternate looks i can get and these frames are the result of that.

We had some great music and direction and it really inspired choices made, in terms of lighting and the verity of looks. Tons of bold bright contrasty, lighting as well dark and moody. It feels so good to be able to collaborate with directors and creatives who actively push to find great ideas and concepts to strengthen the project - I’m excited for more of these!

I shot this music video a few months back - I’m glad I’m finally getting around to posting it. This time around i did some experimenting with the color to see how many alternate looks i can get and these frames are the result of that.

We had some great music and direction and it really inspired choices made, in terms of lighting and the verity of looks. Tons of bold bright contrasty, lighting as well dark and moody. Prep is everything, I want to share something from a music video in the past - I hope this helps other DP's/ and filmmakers get better insight to a necessary part of the process.

I've included some frames from our location scout before the shoot, you will notice i draw all over these frames to illustrate the light quality id like, the direction of light is coming from, the placement of the subject in the frame, some things may change, but it gets me much further ahead when communicating to my team. I've also included look we had on the day of the shoot to our final color done by @robert.colorist
I don't like leaving things to chance so often times me, the director, and gaffer will come to the location beforehand and run though the entire shotlist, and i'll take frames shots through the app artemis. we will discuss schedule based on where the sun will be, depending on where the sun is relative to the windows in the space and create schedule to where the sun isn't working against us - (so important to get the best look possible). ill report this info to my key grip, gaffer, and art department, and we will problem solve the to find the best solutions and get tacos after - It's a good time.
