Following much praise for his ‘Airdrop’ album on Peak Oil, @lowendactivist recently bookended a big year with his second longplayer of ‘24. ‘Municipal Dreams’ highlighted an ongoing purple patch that’s not only delivered devastating sonic pressure, but also thoughtful socio-political commentary – encompassing local history, lived experience, photography, video and more.
“The sonics of grime, eerie ambient and drone. A meditation on the relationship between dead-end environments and the psychology of those who have to live in them” @bandcamp Daily – Album Of The Day
“His excellent patchwork of samples, contorted bass and dark ambient focus centres on a three-day Blackbird Leys riot in 1991” @resident_advisor – October’s Best Music
“Disjointed kicks, cavernous bass and scattered breaks. An honest portrayal of poverty in the UK, at a time when it’s sorely needed” @mixmag – Best Albums On 2024
“Municipal Dreams is a major statement of intent. The themes present on this record are as heavy as the bass that underpins the tracks” @ninaprotocol
“Resembles a more paranoid version of Mumdance’s weightless grime, while also echoing the urban claustrophobia of Public Image Limited’s 1979 post-punk masterpiece ‘Metal Box’” @djmagofficial
“An enthralling, tense, but often moving sonic maze” @electronicsoundmag

Been slacking on here…
The 3rd single ‘TWOC’ was out last Friday. Thanks to everyone who’s been streaming it and sending me nice messages 👊🏼
The full video link can be found via the bio. The footage was masterfully edited by the don @ruairi.dunne
“…there’s an underlying idea that this council estate sport wouldn’t have been so prevalent if there were public services and opportunities presented to the scores of disaffected youth looking for somewhere to direct their energy and frustration”
The full album drops on the 18th Oct.
2x12” & Cassette tape can be pre ordered on my bandcamp - TY 🙌🏼

I’m excited to be putting out this next album finally - ‘Municipal Dreams’
It is a follow up from ‘Hostile Utopia’ - similar tropes, the same source of inspiration. BBL became a driving force so I just rolled with it.
The album was written during an intense 3/4 wk period back in ‘22, pretty much the same month ‘Hostile Utopia’ was released. It’s a more personal introspective record, it’s biographical and touches on topics that were a first or second hand lived experience.
Violence, drugs (good & bad), crime, a lack of positive role models, no opportunity, no money, trying to find a way out, HMP.
Issues that are still rife to this day in housing estates across the UK. Nothings changed in not so Great Britain.
The lead track that i’m announcing with today ‘Just A Number’ samples from a panorama documentary on young offenders at Feltham prison. My younger brother was institutionalised there 2007-2010. His father also in Portland a decade or so earlier. So I’m oddly familiar with these places of confinement and have had many wkends spent travelling to and from, waiting around, soaking up their cold energy.
I’m also familiar with the process, and how the system works, what happens when you come out, the support you are given (or lack of in most cases). My bros good these days btw! Proud of him ❤️
The video was produced by @fleurconstancea
She’s absolutely nailed it so hats off to her for fully understanding the project. There’s some pretty harrowing stats there.
The strange times we’re living through are never ending. Hatred, pain, war and destruction are becoming normalised. The recent riots in our own country are all part of an ongoing quest by the ruling class to divide and conquer. An attempt by stiff, fascist little public schoolboy pricks to divert you away from the real issues going on in the world. Like arming genocidal maniacs, clamping down on free protest, stripping the country of all its public services and just continuing to further push the gap between the rich and the poor.

XM015 Low End Activist -JH Versions
Following earlier appearances on Time Horizon IV and a remix for Pushlock's "Journey at the end of the Brain", Low End Activist returns to further cement his link with XCPT — this time with a full-length that extends into a shared message.
It’s a record that deals in pressure and placement where the rhythms carry weight without dominating, allowing tones to dissolve at the edges. Space isn’t decorative here, it’s structural — carrying as much intent as the low-end itself.
A respectful and meticulous approach emerges in the spectral handling of samples — spooked, finely cut, and quietly rooted in a jazz-derived sphere.
Inspired by the 94-96 jazz-era of Jungle/ D&B from the likes of Photek, Wax Doctor & Alex Reece to name a few, the album stays locked into its own logic of reduction, control, and tension. What emerges is a fluid listening experience less about peaks, more about persistence, 8 Tracks spanning the various palette of bass music through the art of good sampling; both for the floor but also for intimate momentum of introspection. A Journey into the sound merging the new with the old school.
Limited to 150 copies
coming in screen printed sleeve
mastered by Daniele Antezza at @dadub_mastering

We’re starting a tape series — a space for mixes by artists we genuinely rate.
We open with someone who has been a real inspiration not only for this series, but also for the opening of our space: UK rave revivalist @lowendactivist
For L863, he presents an exclusive 1 hour, 57 minutes and 51 seconds mix — a carefully built journey — released as a strictly limited cassette edition. It’s the most beautiful mix we’ve heard in the last year, an absolute masterpiece: a dive into shadowed UK rave territories, following a specific current of depleted, post-ecstatic ambience, tense and unsettled tech-step motion, and weightless, ruined sub frequencies.
Rooted in soundsystem culture while constantly reshaping its language, LEA moves through UK bass with a distinct voice. From early dancefloor experiences to the raw charge of breakbeat hardcore and jungle, through to grime and dubstep, his work reflects a deep, personal connection to these forms. His productions shift between percussive, MC-driven pressure and more spaced-out, atmospheric zones, always with a strong sense of context.
His trajectory includes collaborations with Flowdan, Mez, Killa P, and Trim. With releases on Sneaker Social Club and his own Low End Activism imprint — as well as appearances on Rinse, Seagrave, and ESP Institute — his output continues to carve a singular path.
The release comes as a 2-tape set, housed in a single box. The box is designed by our @pongie147
Out next week — limited to 30 units
Pre-orders now available via hello@l863.it

UNDERGROUND ASSISTANCE spans the full spectrum of bass-driven club culture. uk garage, jungle, breakbeat, dubstep, grime, footwork and experimental sounds come together over deep bass, driving rhythms and a strong soundsystem focus. the nights are about energy, precision and pushing the music forward.
low end activist
with an omnivorous approach to every fibre of soundsystem culture, low end activist revels in the alchemy of sample manipulation and bass pressure across the hardcore continuum. from the earliest mutations of breakbeat and jungle to the sleek bump of garage via dubstep’s half-time meditations onto grime’s volatile riddims, this is a project steeped in reverence for the formidable force inherent in uk dance music culture.
nassstya
with a strong passion and love for sub driven music and heavy basslines, she’s become a steady part of the northern bass front. her musical aspiration is to break with the stale construct of subgenre boundries by celebrating a multifarious bass music culture, making more room for a diverse, safe & inclusive space - not only behind the decks, but also over the speakers and on the dancefloors. especially her uptempo selections are fueled by various styles and influences, always blending in some footwork, halftime & ravy jungle treats.
n:in
n:in has always been attracted to dystopian sounds and unusual rhythms. sometimes more on the soft side, sometimes completely distorted, she likes to explore different genres and connect them through sounddesign or harsh contrasts. maily inspired by modern, dupstep influenced club-, deconstructed and experimental approaches.
nonaps
non-adaptive pleasure seeking - most pleasurable activities, such as eating and sex, have clear links to survival. such activities ultimately stimulate brain mechanisms that are specifically evolved to reward and encourage adaptive behaviors. note that once brain mechanisms are in place that permit the experience of pleasure, it may be possible to stimulate those mechanisms in ways that do not confer a survival advantage. this behavior is called non-adaptive pleasure seeking.

LOW END ACTIVIST [Italian Debut]
With an omnivorous approach to every fibre of soundsystem culture, @lowendactivist revels in the alchemy of sample manipulation and bass pressure — from the earliest mutations of breakbeat and jungle to the sleek bump of garage, via dubstep’s half-time meditations onto grime’s volatile riddims. A project steeped in reverence for the formidable force of UK dance music, tracing an unbroken lineage back to the dub soundsystem legacy of Scratch and Tubby in 1970s Jamaica, formalized on Sneaker Social Club and channelled through collaborations with Flowdan, Vybz Kartel, Sikka Rymes and Razor, and remixes by Loraine James, John T. Gast and Low Jack — all pointing to a restless inspiration, decades in the bassbins and still pinging off the alien signals being transmitted in the present day.

Announcing the new album incoming from homie @hoyah_____
‘On his second album for @brukrecords, hoyah continues to take an unflinching look at his jewish identity while confronted with the heinous actions of the Isr**li state. Echoing the name of his @refugeworldwide radio show, he examines the shared histories of the jewish diaspora across the Middle East and North Africa - from Morocco to Uzbekistan and everywhere in between. Can I Get A Chayah? is an honest attempt to explore what Judaism could become at a time when the culture faces an existential crisis..’

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
