A Great Day in Ñiu Yor 🗽
Some time ago 8 photographers began documenting Ñiu Yor’s community. The goal? To amplify the voices, achievements and collective presence of Latine and Indigenous artists, leaders, and change-makers in New York City. A deliberate effort to challenge systemic invisibility and reclaim narrative ownership.
100+ participants were documented and interviewed in a 2 part photo series
The first image is a studio portrait where participants were invited to bring or embody something personally significant: an object, a garment or an intentional way of dressing tied to their heritage.
The second image is an environmental portrait taken in a location chosen by the participant across New York City such as spaces of comfort and emotional connection like their home, a park, favorite corner of the city.
For the community, by the community!

Hey friends, Carl here speaking to our lighting approach for the piece. As always, @matriarentals had us covered for all our EQ needs. Off the bat, we knew we wanted to create this futuristic “neon” drenched dreamscape.
I was excited to push the abilities of the new @aputure.lighting BLAIR chip. We utilized a good bit of the fleet from the 1000c, 400x, 80c. One thing I was itching to try was off-balancing the outside world to lean super blue. So we cranked our 1000c to the low end of 1,800k and balanced our camera to 2K. Our gaffer, @jaeseey is always one step ahead and had these beautiful hues dialed in and balanced.
The 80c & MC pro became our go-to units for our more run and gun moments, keeping us light on our feet in midtown Manhattan and adding washes of green to the hallways & elevator.
I’m here thinking, how are we going to rig these units in a public elevator? @space_magic walks in and effortlessly sticks them to the walls as they’re magnetic…. Duh. Damn I really don’t miss rigging kino-flos for these types of setups.
This all sounds like an aputure ad… it’s not, sadly, but I’ll take some free gear y’all? But, in all honesty, as someone with a closet full of gel rolls, it’s nice to see some rich, accurate color and powerful output from these units.
Hope you all enjoy the piece 🌃

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
