Experience as Economy
This semester my second-year students explored destination retail in the Appalachian region — Buc-ee’s, Bass Pro Shops, and Smoky Mountain Knife Works — and pushed them into spatial proposals, with money shots heading to the Archisource Drawing of the Year international architecture visualization competition.
Each project asks: what is the experience in the space? How does it guide and control that experience? What does it feel like to be somewhere — and how do you design that feeling?

Level 404: Glitching Between Realities
This semester we explored territories between physical and virtual worlds, using Neal Stephenson’s Snow Crash as our framework for understanding spatial computing.
Students developed game pitch decks, architectural asset packs, and spatial narratives in @unrealengine —questioning what it means to inhabit space when reality and virtuality blur together.

Students developed game pitch decks, architectural asset packs, and spatial narratives in @unrealengine —questioning what it means to inhabit space when reality and virtuality blur together.
Thanks to @james.roha for co-teaching and @buckminister_mueller for special guest session! @utkcoad

Where’s the cloud?
.
.
.
Joining #cloudslentoutusediscipline by @cattydanzhang @lostritto ! I revisited my old RIM Unreal project, using point clouds from architectural scans to remake the simulation. The point cloud becomes the starting mesh for the Niagara system, falling and dissolving—inspired by the movement in Catty’s smoke machine experiments.
.
.
.
What I love about this project: receiving the cloud from @itch_chin transforming it with my favorite point cloud data, then passing it forward. It’s poetic in both the methodology and the visualization.

Excited to finally share this with the world

On the last day at PAX, I heard someone shout “Dreamless Kingdommmmmm!” in the board game section. I turned around and saw a big smile — it was someone who playtested on day two, now upgraded from stranger to friend! Definitely the best moment of the trip. So grateful for the amazing feedback and seeing people recognize the game! Thank you, PAX community — YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!
Dreamless Kingdom’s first public playtest went so well. Thank you to every visitor and playtester who stopped by!
Huge thanks to @juliaamelo__ and @cjosiahrubio — the best team we could ever ask for!!
Thank you, @pitiwongs , for all the help — we couldn’t have pulled this off without you!
And thank you, @pangwonlopsiri , for the lovely MIT visit and quick catch-up (it’s been too long), and @jason_laughter for coming to support us, Boston branch style!!
And Thanks to @james.roha the best partner in crime!!
Until next time, PAX — we’ll be dreaming bigger.

In the Dreamless Kingdom, no one dreams for themselves. Every night, dreams are extracted and replaced with lifeless replicas—beautiful but hollow. You play as a quiet traveler who begins to collect these forgotten dreams, restoring fragments of wonder to a world on the brink of emotional collapse.
Dreamless Kingdom is a narrative-driven exploration game blending light puzzle-solving, atmospheric storytelling, and surreal world-building. As you traverse dream-warped biomes, you’ll encounter strange villagers, unlock their suppressed hopes, and stitch together the fractured emotional tapestry of a once-vibrant world.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
